It was two hours since the fire accident...
Madhu was rushed into the ICU and the doctors were fighting to save her...She had no pulse when they took her in and now it was there but very faintly. Pabbo looked to see her Rishab who was sitting on the ground, all pale and cold. The only thing he did was to stare at the ICU blankly; with red eyes .He had turned into a statue of ice.
Radha was desperately praying to all gods she knew for her daughter and grandchild. She got down to her knees before Rk
Radha-"Rishu...ye Rishu.."After a very long time he responded to her..
Rk looked into his Ma's eyes and broke down completely without any inhibition for once and the dam broke-"Ma ...Ma ask her to come back to me...I can't survive without her .I will die ..ma she's my everything..woh aapki baat manegi ma,,please tell her to come back please..."Rk was shivering in the literal sense and Radha immediately hugged him and moved back and fro calming him.
Radha-"She is going to be fine Rishu so is your child..."The mention of the child brought him more pain.
Rk-"I understand why God is punishing me ma"
Radha-"What are you saying Rishu?" She wondered
Rk-"He is punishing me for my selfishness... ma"
Radha-"Kya?"
Rk-"I asked her to abort my own blood for my selfishness ..."Radha gasped .She moved back in shock and whispered-"No you did not.."
Rk looked up with shame-"Ma I did" and a slap echoed throughout the corridor. Pabbo grew furious-"Radha are you mad?"
Radha-"Please stay out of this it is between me and my son Jiji "
Pabbo looked stunned and opened her mouth but was cut short by Radha-"I am the one who gave birth to him not you...Just because you grew him up doesn't make him yours..."
She turned to look at a shocked Rk and said only one line-"If you ever consider me as your mother at least a little then you will stay away from Madhu if she wants to be away from you"
The doctor came out and Bittuji questioned-"Doctor how is she?"
Doc-"I am sorry but we couldn't save her."
At that very precise moment Rk's world stopped...Rk stumbled back and Pabbo rushed to hold him holding back her excitement...
Pabbo held Rishab but he pushed her away..
He looked at her with such disgust and hatred that he had-"Congratulations Pabbo you got what you wanted..."
Pabbo looked at him surprised. Rk-"I knew you wanted her out of my life but no one made you God to kill two lives..."
Rk controlled his agony and took a step forward towards Deepali; and slapped her hard that she fell with a great impact on the floor.Sikky stood there watching it silently.
Few hours later...
Rk sat beside Madhu watching her breath slowly and softly...The police arrested Deepali and had left. He did not arrest Pabbo as she was not worth it according to him.It was nothing but a short of miracle when Madhu's heart beat machine had begun to beep along with their child's even as he begged her to come back to him...He got up and moved closer around her, putting his hands around his wife and child protectively.
That was how she saw him. Madhu woke up to find her Rk hugging her... but she was now at home. In his arms, where she felt safe and devoid of one emotion FEAR
