'I am different from other antagonists'

Jeete Hain Jiske Liye may not be doing well but Ashwini Kalsekar doesn't believe in TRP numbers. "I don't give any weightage to TRPs and GRPs but go by the audience's response. The show is being appreciated and I have got good response for my character," says the fiery and blunt actress who feels her look and costumes have gone down well with viewers. "I don't think Adira is outright negative. It's a grey character and definitely different from antagonists of other shows." Ashwini dismisses the talk that she is eager to work in CID, the crime thriller that she did for over four years and finally quit to do some different work.

"I wanted change and at that time I was also doing films like Khakhi, Mussafir and Kisna which required me to shoot at outdoor locations. There are only 30 days in a month and right now I am fully committed to Jeete Hain," says the grey-eyed actress who wouldn't mind a second innings with CID if time permits. "Fireworks is like my second home. I have no issues with them. In fact, whenever I am free I make it a point to visit Fireworks to meet B.P. (Singh) and Pradeep (Uppar). They are friends and the day I feel I am in a position to do CID I will join the show. But as of now my return to CID is not certain."
