The celebrations which are being shown in the name of engagement is looking as if its Taani's marriage and not engagement, but still since its only dance and Puja's, they can be passed off and accepted easily.

But today they showed Swayam saying groom side sitting for "SAJJANKOT". Now this is definitely not a part of engagement. The "SAJJANKOT" is done after the marriage, in which all the grooms relatives and friends sit down along with the bride and the bride's side serve them.

They could have shown Swayam stating that they would serve the boy's side just as a gesture (the royal treatment which is usually given to the groom's side), but using the term which is associated after the wedding should have been avoided.

The CV's should be careful while showing all these. Shantannu being a Marwari must be aware of this, how come he did not pin-point such a big blunder, amazes me.

D3 seems to miss logic many a times. Though I don't know about the one you're talking but seems like it's wrong. And do you think actors have a say in such matters? 😆

no dear it happens after phere, when the wedding is over, then only the bride and the grooms side remains, at that time grooms side sits down to have late dinner and the brides side serves them.

Actors might not have a say in the screenplay, storyline, etc but they do make some small changes accordingly and the adjustments are made.

Its done before phere where groom and his would be bride sits with the groom's family and has dinner, and bride's family serves them.
Maybe shantanu was not having any idea about it, its not easy to remember all this amidst the shoot and everything.

Maybe due to reception this happens before pheras now but in all my uncles, cousins and recently in my bro's wedding also it happened after wedding itself... So said that...

Agreed.
And btw i forgot to mention...this happens at both engagement and marriage time. If both are kept on different days, so yes it is obvious for bride's family to offer manuhaar to groom side in the name sajjanghot.
