Jalal himself was in a compromised position to start with - a wife who's blaming him of rape, his insane jealousy to know who the culprit is, wondering if he was wrong in judging a woman he was beginning to care for etc etc - Why do you say Jalal put her in that position..we shouldn't forget SHE was the one who started it all...why did she have to storm off like a 2 year old in the snowstorm compromising everyone in the first place?😕 Hadn't they been sharing bedspace in Amer for a while...One instant she sees his hand under her cheek and off she is - thinking he was taking advantage of her?
Esp when she's already repeated incidents like Mohini etc where she has been proved wrong about his character...
Jalal's I did it didn't do it has been a muddling maze for everyone too and there was NO necessity for the CVs to show him constantly see-sawing on this stance! That bit was getting annoying for me too! So, I totally understand if she's frustrated with him on that front...I also understand if she felt like strangling his neck for his 'Amer-lover' waala comment...but then, that was a stupid attempt of his to save her from HB's wrath (where he appeared looking silly) - and while what he did (humiliate her) was done for her good (albeit in a silly fashion), she has been repeatedly telling him things like - he's a lusty heartless animal etc etc which I find equally distasteful!
Both doubted each other - fine...but, Salima approached both about trusting each other - when Salima approached Jalal - he instantly started giving Jodha the benefit of doubt...Did she ever give him the benefit of doubt even for a second?
And that comment about him only caring for the child was made by her not him...he, who was originally sympathetic towards her started playing along when her taunts grew worse and worse! He was just patiently listening at first till he finally nodded to it all.
I agree that both are wrong, but the reason why jalal comes out looking more graceful is because he acknowledges when he's wronged her - he lets her take out her frustrations and doesn't judge her for it. She, on the other hand does nothing but judge him most of the time and even when she realizes she's judged him wrongly, has required prodding from many (HB, Mothi etc etc) to go and even say an apology/thanks!
This, while he spares no pains complimenting her, appreciating her for the smallest things [when things are going on well!]
