So I'm guessing Aamir's father in the film also gets killed just like Now You See Me, where Mark Ruffalo's dad does too.

The similarities are visible.

yep thats what it seems, and aamir is sort of taking revenge for his fathers death, which also happens in NYSM.

i was just shocked at how many similarities there were as i recently just watched NYSM
