HI friends,
Ramaji thread n the suggestion of tabar made me want to write this.
Maybe similar to other OS, but wanted to just write it anyways.

Sandhya IPS at work.
Sandhya, glanced at her watch. It was lunch time. She quickly ate the lunch Babho had packed her. She was so busy she had not gotten any gifts for Suraj jis birthday which was tomorrow. She thought she will just go and get a gift for Sooraj.
Of late she has been so tired and her work load was also very hectic. She had too much work to take sick leave. Maybe she was coming down with the flu. So Sandhya decided to get Sooraj's gift and also see the doctor.
She bought Sooraj a book, Mahathma Gandhi's autobiography, "The story of my Experiments with Truth", and smiled, thinking for a brief moment about her experiments with truth in the beginning of their married life. She hoped Sooraj would like her gift.
Morning GG Room.
Suraj opened his eyes hoping to see his Sandhyas face first thing in the morning. But there was no Sandhya. He glanced at the clock. It was only 6.00 AM. Sandhya's duty will not start till 8.00 am that day. He made sure he got to see her before she left everyday. He looked under the bed to see if Sandhya has hidden any gifts for his birthday. No. But before he could get up and he heard the door opening and Sandhya entered the room wearing his favorite saree. She looked so radiant and beautiful, it took his breath away. He sat up in bed, waiting for her to come and wish him. Sandhya went straight to the mirror and started dressing up. Suraj waited for some more time but got impatient.
Suraj :Sandhya are you forgetting something?
Sandhya: What Suraj ji?, She came close to him, I have my bindhi, my mangal sutra, my pallu over my head, my sindoor, my bangles, continued Sandhya seriously checking everything.
Suraj : Sandhya,?!! aren't you going to.. his sentence trailed away softly.
Sandhya : decided to stop teasing him, and wished him "Happy Birthday Suraj ji" with a big smile on her face.
Suraj: Thank you, just wishes but where is my gift ?
Sandhya : Oh no, Suraj ji, I had no time, I forgot to get you your gift!
Sooraj: I know how to get my gift.
He looked at her. He held her hand and pulled her to him.
Sandhya thought he was going to kiss her and tried to turn away.
Suraj did not let her go. He slowly drew her to him
and brought her left hand from behind her back where she was hiding his gift. He could see the reflection of the gift on the dressing table mirror.
Sandhya : "OK, OK, now close your eyes", she handed him the gift. Sooraj,with eyes closed, touched the wrapping paper and guessed that it was a book.
Sooraj: Where is my other gift?
What other one? asked SAndhya.
Sooraj had seen that Sandhya was hiding two gifts behind her back and also took that one from her. He again felt it with his eyes closed and thought that it was soft,
Sooraj: apron or a kurta?
Sandhya: Sooraj ji thats not for you.
Sooraj: he opened his eyes n quickly opened the gifts.
The first one was indeed a book. The second one looked like some clothes.
Sooraj ji that was for Baby Pari, blustered Sandhya. I was going it to give her.
Sooraj looked at the gift and thought It was clothes but, it would be too small for me! Maybe she was going to give pari the clothes.
He scratched the side of his face. But these look kind of old, but familiar.
He then realized it was his baby clothes that Babho had saved and had given to Sandhya two years ago. Sandhya had gift wrapped his old baby clothes and given it to him.
He opened his mouth as if he was going to ask ,Why? but closed it again. A big smile spread across his face.
He looked at Sandy with wonder and amazement. He didn't know what to think or believe. He grabbed both her hands and gently drew her to him. His naughty, bold IPS officer wife was all pink in the face and blushing. He looked deep into her eyes to confirm what he thought she was trying to say. Sandy gave a smile and buried her face in his chest.
Sandhya? He could feel her nodding her head in his chest.
He felt excitement spreading inside him. He thought that his chest would burst open with his happiness. He wanted to make sure that Sandhya was happy too. He gently lifted her head and whispered into her ears,
Are you..? Are you ? Are we ? Sandhya again nodded her head.
His lips gently brushed her forehead and cheeks.
He made her sit on the bed ever so gently as if she was made of porcelain and as if she might break.
Ae you Ok? Is everything alright?, are you happy?, asked Sooraj.
Sandhya again nodded, Yes.
Have you told Babho yet? He was so happy he wanted to let the whole world know especially his Babho.
Sandhya : No Sooraj ji. I wanted to share this with you before I told anyone.
Sooraj hugged his wife and thought that this was the best birthday ever and this was the best gift he had ever received in his life. Next to seeing Sandhya in uniform for the first time when she completed her IPS, this moment he would cherish for ever.

Sooraj and Sandhya hugged each other and cherished the knowledge that from now on they will not be just the two of them but one more precious bundle of joy will be coming soon.
BEENDNI, ...SOORAJ,.. Sandhya heard Babho call. and got up quickly.
They heard the noise of some katori being thrown down.
Sooraj couldn't contain his excitement. He wanted to run downstairs and tell Babjo immediately. He dragged Sandy, but slowed down quickly and went down the stairs.
Angan.
Babho: Ek langdo, Ek khani our men Ek akeli Siani, how long will beendhni take, its already getting late, exclaimed Babho,
Sooraj: Scratched the side of his face then " Babho.. I ..., we... want to tell you something,.."
Babho saw the joy in her sons face and looked at her blushing beendhni and realized that the day she has been waiting for and praying for, to hear the best news has arrived.
She exclaimed "O mara Ram Jee", tears of joy welled up in her eyes,
she called out "suraj ka papa, meena beendhni, emili beendhni, vikram, mohit,.."
Babho looked at her beendni and son with pride and joy.
She hugged Sandhya lovingly and patted her choras cheek.
The whole family gathered there in the Angan to share in their joy and celebrate the arrival of a new tabar.🥳
