Geet was alone so she had to rush every where be it to bring madicines or to talk with doctors or to console her mother as Sudha too was worried for Geet seeing her alone doing all works.She was hungry since morning and hadn't have anything. She asked Geet to have some thing but Geet refused as she was not feeling hungry.She was waiting for Maan.She couldn't inform gautam and Rahul as it will be impossible for them to come here and they would be tensed to know about the condition of Sudha..And Sudha was amazed to see Geet handling everything so maturely.she couldn't beleave that she was her same daughter who was so pampered and never took life so seriously.
It was four in the evening and Sudha finally slept as she was under seductives and Geet was relaxed to see her mother sleeping .Though Sudha was in sevior pain since morning but she controlled herself seeing Geet alone.She was still her pampered and protected daughter who was no less than a princess for her.She supressed her pain as it would have made Geet more panic.Now she got some relief from pain so she slept.Geet caressed her mother's hair and smiled .She set on the small chair which was kept near the bed.While caressing her mother's head she too after some time kept her head near her mother as she too was tired along with being hungry.
Maan was done with his meeting .He came out and reached at reception and asked for his phone.He switched on it and got the massege alarts for so many missed call.he checked and saw the calls were from Geet.He was surprised to see so many missed calls from her and dialied back to her but her phone was switched off.he saw a call from an unknown landline no.he called back and heard in reply-Hello city hospital..May I help you?
And Maan was scared to hear the name of hospital(is everything fine with Geet) ..hello... I got a call from this no.can you tell me who called me?
Otherside-Sorry sir I have just join my duty so I can't tell who called you.
Maan-Can you tell is some girl named Geet is there?
Receptionist checked and said-No sir No girl named Geet is here in this hospital
Maan-o.k. thanks ..then he called HM and some servant picked up the phone and told him about what happened in the morning.But he couldn't tell him what happened after they left from there as Geet didn't call back at home.
Maan instantly knew it was Geet who called him from the phone of hospital.He rushed there and after reaching at reception he inquired about Sudha Handa and the receptionist informed him the room no.where Suidha was admitted.
He rushed to the room and enterd in and saw Sudha was trying to reach the glass of water which was kept on side table and Geet was sleeping on the chair near the bed with her head on bed itself.As sudha was trying to not to make a noise because Geet was sleeping but was helpless to move because her leg was not allowing her to move an inch.Maan saw her trying to get the water and he swiftly moved in to help her as she was trying very hard. The glaas was touched by sudha and was ready to fall but he picked it up in time and helped her to drink water.
Maan-Aunty what happened?
And Sudha signaled him to be quiet and wisphered ..Abhi soyi hai.bahut thak gayi hai...
Maan nodded and kept the glass back on the side table after Sudha drank the water.but even low sounds made Geet awake and she saw her mother and asked -Mamma kya hua ..kuchh chahiye aapko?
Then she saw maan and instantly a smile spreaded on her lips-aa gaye aap.Aap ki meeting kaisi thi?
Maan was amused to hear that line-Strange...Instead of telling me how many times she called me ,and asking me why I didn't pick up her phone she is asking about my meeting.
Maan-It was fine...tAunty I m very sorry actually phones were not allowed in side of that office.
Sudha-haan to kya hua.ab tumhen to pata nahin tha na ki mere saath aisa hone wala tha.Maan baaki baad baad me karna pahle isko lekar jaao.she hadn't eat anything since morning.
Geet-Mamma I m not feeling like to eat anything .aur aapko yahaan akela chhod kar main nahin jaane wali.
Maan -That's not a problem ..he called a nurse and asked her to take care of Sudha untill they come back.(To Geet) problem solved ab chalo..
Seeing no other option she left with maan after instructing nurse for taking proper care of her mother in her absence.and she assured her.
IN Canteen-they settled on chairs
Maan-What will you have Geet?
Geet-two bergers and one french fries
Maan-Two bergers and one french fries? Tumhen dekh kar lagta nahin ki tum itna kha sakti ho?
Geet-It's not only for me ..it is for both of us ...as I can guess you too didn't have your lunch
Maan was surprised at this-How did you know that I didn't have my lunch?
Geet-If you have had then you would have checked your phone during lunch time and know about my call..He was amazed to see the trust that Geet had on him.
Maan- Well geet I m impressed you know your family very well... you wait here I will bring for us..and Geet nodded
Maan brought bergers and french fries and they started to eat.The nurse who saw geet talking on the phone in the morning enterd the canteen and watched both of them having their food .They were talking in a very normal way.That nurse was a middle aged woman.She was surprised to see them behaving so normal
Maan-Geet I m really very sorry that you had to handled all alone.I should had informed you in the morning itself that I would be busy..but I didn't know it that they would keep my phone with them.
Geet-It's okey Maan.Everything is fine now.Mamma bhi theek hain.
Maan-What are dr saying?
Geet-They have told to keep her under observation as her BP is abnormaly fluctuating.I think tomorrow she will be discharged..
Their burger meal was over and he askedHmm..any thing else you want..
Geet-yes.. one cup of hot tea.
Maan smiled to see the excitement on her face for a mare cup of tea-ya sure.. and he again went to take the tea.
That nurse was standing there to take her tea. She found maan standing near her and she couldn't control herself and asked him-Excuse me sir. are you Mr.Maan?
Maan-yes I m Maan.. how do you know me?
Nurse-No sir I don't know you.Actually I wanted to tell something to you.
Maan-Ji kahiye
Nurse-Sir you are very lucky.Your wife is very understanding and matured girl.
Maan was shocked to hear that-Ji? My wife?
Nurse -Yes sir that girl ..she pointed towards Geet and Maan looked in that direction.he looked at Geet and asked-how did you judge that she is...
Nurse-Sir She was trying very hard to talk to you she was calling again and again but wasn't able..then I guess she called at your office too but the person who received the call didn't give your conteact no.and in front of her mother she was defending you only.Jis tarah se wo aapke aane ka wait kar rahi thi and was confident about your coming ussi se mujhe laga ...Unki jagah koi aur ladki hoti to aap par gussa kar rahi hoti but she is behaving very maturly with you.Even I work in this hospital agar main bhi hoti unki jagah to ghabra jaati aur apne husband se jhagda kar leti for not taking my call at the time when I needed him... but she had a very strong trust on you that you will come as soon as you get her message..
Nurse's every word was leaving an strange but srong impact on Maan's heart.He didn't know what he was feeling at that time.. his heart beating fast hearing every word uttered by nurse.He looked at Geet again she too looked back at him and gave him a smile..and maan could see that smile was full of confidence that she was having for him and he felt his face warm because of some strange feelings.
Nurse again said-I will pray to God for keeping that love and trust forever between you.and Maan felt a lump in his throat..He muttered a thanks to nurse.he didn't need to make it clear to nurse that she was not his wife and he didn't know why he didn't tell her...
He took the tea and went where Geet was sitting .He handed over It to her.she said a quick thanks to him.he set there and looked at her again..and he kept starring at her.Nurse words were hitting in his mind..He was watching Geet sipping her tea..she was enjoying it but he forgot to drink his own tea as he was still searching something in Geet's face..Geet looked at Maan and found him starring at herself-maan what happened ..is something there on my face.
Maan came back from his thoughts-No nothing is there. And he controled his racing heart-Geet did you call at office?
Geet-hmm..
Maan-who received your call?
Geet-receptionist thi..usne bataya ki aap aur papa meetings me hain and she was not allowed to enter the meeting room where papa was...and ..and
Maan-And?
Geet-I asked her to give the no. of the office where you were but she refused ..
Maan-tumne bataya nahin ki tum kaun ho?
Geet eyes were low..-bataya tha
Maan-then?
Geet was quite
Maan -Geet..I m waiting ..
Geet -I told her that I was your brother's wife but..
Maan was looking at her to complete her sentence.Geet looked at him and he saw her eyes were wet..
Maan was feeling uneasy to see her wet eyes.he felt some restlessness in his own heart but he waited for her to complete her sentence
Geet wiped her eyes and said-She said that I was lying because you didn't have any brother ... to brother ki wife kahaan se aa gayi.and she also said that she didn't want to lose her job and she refused me to give the contact no.of that office.
Man was hell angry to hear it.he was about to get up from her chair but Geet stopped him by holding his hand -Maan please don't over react. mamma theek hain ab .
Maan-aur agar kuchh ho jata to..how dare she?
Geet still was holding his hand- she was doing her job only.wo nayi hai na to usko pata nahin hoga that you had a brother who is not alive now..Please leave it.
Maan looked first at Geet and then at har hand holding his arm..It wasn't first time that they were touching each other.they had touched each other so many times before too but Maan felt something new in that hold today.
Geet-Please maan..usko job se mat nikaalna ..I know uske liya kitni zaroori hogi wo job..main nahin nchahti ki meri wajah se kisi ko koi problem ho.
Maan looked at her pleading eyes and said-Okey .nahin nikaaloonga..
And exactly at that time that nurse saw them in that position and Maan's eyes met with her. she smiled again to see Maan as if saying to him-See I was right..and Maan witnessed that smile and got it's meaning too.
He then saw geet and Geet realized that she was holding his hand she left it and said -sorry .she gave him a smile after that and said-Let's go... mamma wait kar rahi hongi.
They were returning from the canteen .Geet was telling him about sudha how she fell down in the morning but her words were not reaching in his ears.there were only nurse's words only-.. Jis tarh se wo aapke aane ka wait kar rahi thi ussi se mujhe laga ...and her other words too were echoing in his mind- but she had a very strong trust on you that you will come as soon as you get her message.
Geet's words too were hitting his mind- It's not only for me ..it is for both of us ...as I can guess you too didn't have your lunch
And her another sentence
... If you have had then you would have checked your phone during lunch time and know about my call.
He knew it already that Geet trusted him blindly but today her trust on him was leaving some other impression on his mind
Geet was talking to him but he was only starring at her.he liked it that she trsted him blindly.She was waiting only for him.. she knew that he would come after receiving her message...and at that moment something changed in his heart.he felt a new feeling in his heart that he never felt before and not for anyone..
They entered in the room and saw that Sudha was sleeping.Get came near her and covered her properly .Nurse excused herself for some work.Maan saw Geet arrenging the things which were scattered in room as Geet didn't get time .she put her phone on the charging point which was in built in the room.maan's eyes were tracing her every where.He was still lost in the words which Nurse said.
Geet-Maan I m feeling very bad for mamma. Papa and Rahul gave her responsibility to me but I couldn't take care of her properly even for one day.How will I face them.
Maan heard her sad voice and said-nahin Geet koi kuchh nahin karega .ye to unke saamne bhi ho sakta tha na.so why are you blamming your self..and Aunty is fine ..main abhi Dr. se baat karke aata hoon.
And he left from there as he wanted to control his feelings too. He was little bit confused on his own reaction after hearing the talk of that Nurse.
He talked to Dr. about Sudha's condition and Dr. told him that she was having an hair line fracture .they will keep her for some observation agar kal tak sab theek rahta hai to she will be discharged next day..
Maan was satisfied and he called Ram and told everything .He also informed priya at home .She inquired about Sudha and after one hour every one was at hospital including taiji(how she could miss the opportunity) Sudha saw them and tried to get up but Geet didn't allow her.
Priya-Sudha ji kaisi hain ab aap?
Sudha-Ji theek hoon ab.main maafi chahti hoon meri vajah se sab ko takleef hui.
Ram-Arrey ye kya kah rahi hain aap?Geet ne theek se khayaal rakha na aapka? Warna main iski claas loonga..
Sudha-Ji ab aapki beti bahut samajhdaar ho gayi hai.
Taiji-haan wo to hai..dekhiye na wo ghar par nahin hai to sab yahaan hain ussi ke aas paas. Aapki beti me kuchh to baat hai jo wo sabko apni taraf kheenchti hai.
Sudha -Ji main samjhi nahin..
Maan-Aunty kuchh nahin taiji ko mazaak karne ki aadat hai.kitni bhi serious situation kyun na ho ye apni aadat nahin chhodti hain so don't mind her.hain na taiji..
Taiji-haan haan mari to aadat hai ..and she changed the topic--ab aap kaisi hain? Geet ne apne papa ko bataya ya nahin.
Geet-nahin taiji I didn't .unhen bataane se kya faayda.wo log bina baat pareshaan ho jaayenge. main hoon na ..I will take care of her..
Taiji-Tum akeli kahaan geet hum sab hain yahaan..tum jab kahogi tab sab aa jaayenge..
Maan glared at her and she stopped atonce.
Ram -Geet tum ne office me mujhe kyun nahin call kiya.
Geet-Papa you were in meeting so couldn't tell you. Yahaan mamma ko bhi problem ho rahi thi and she needed me so had to take care of her.
She didn't want Ram to be angry on that receptionist so she tried to let it go..
A nurse came there and informed them that visiting hours were over and only one person could stay with the patient.
Maan-Geet you can go home .I will take care of aunty
Geet-No ...I will stay here as mamma will be more comfortable with me.
Priya-Maan geet is right.let her stay here.Sudha ji you don't worry. Every thing will be fine
Sudha nodded-I know priya ji ..Thanks for every thing
Ram-Geet if you need us .Don't hegitate to call us without thinking about time .Okey
Geet-ji..
All left from there .Maan after going some steps forward ,turned and looked at her .She was looking at them only as he turned she smiled and said-Goodnight.
Maan -goodnight ...and he left after saving that smiling face in his eyes .He was very puzzled at his own feelings today...
