Jalal being the Shahensha would have sentenced any woman to death for adultery because that was a norm in those days but he has not done anything remote to that. He sentenced that woman to death, who came to ask for justice in his court, after the birth of the child by stoning but as far as Jodha is concerned he is in deep thought and dilemma. If it was before during MC or even before that right after marriage I think his reactions would have been much harsher and strict but now he has so much of feelings for Jodha that he can't decide or even think about sentencing her to death or imprisonment. He himself also is not aware of his feelings, he is just caught in a dilemma between being a Shahensha and being a husband. He know something is not fitting and is wrong somewhere and he knows he himself has not crossed that line of of word and yet she is pregnant. He wants to believe Jodha but the fact is right there in his face and he can't look away from it. But the point is he didn't sentence her to anything but kept a straight smiling face doing all possible rituals without a twitch.
Jodha on the other hand being the upright, righteous and so rigid in her outlook would have taken poison if any one blamed her character or her honor, forget about her husband, but she DIDN'T. Which is a very good thing but I was wondering why. So hoping against hope I feel she too must have a tiny little faith on Jalal somewhere deep down in her heart where she knows he might have kept his word or he will take the right decision in this matter. Or if this is not the case then maybe in the last 2 weeks the other side of Jalal that she saw in Amer and back in Agra might have rubbed a little on her and have stopped her from taking such a drastic step as to finish herself with 'jauhar'.
Both these facts stands out to me from Jalal and Jodha's end which might have happened under normal circumstances but has not and that gives me some hope about both of them. They must feel something for each other deep down no matter how much they insult each other with hatred and derogatory remarks.
And I liked yesterday though Jodha questioned the very root of their relationship standing in front of the scale of justice Jalal didn't say a word. He looked unhappy, he is caught in a quandary, he even looked away somewhat in scorn and anger but he didn't say a word. As it is often said, words and arrows can't be recalled and I didn't want any more insults or humiliation from his end which can never be repaired. This decision that he has to make, he has to do from his brain because his heart is with Jodha and he can't pass a judgement with a biased heart. Reminds me of the scene where he tells Ruq he will see who wins his brain or Jodha's heart. Now he is captive by his own heart but he is unaware of this himself. What an irony!
And I liked Jodha putting their relationship on the scale with the symbol of the ring. CV's I sincerely wish you had shown a recap where Jalal is putting the ring on her and I don't recall any scene like that unless I have missed it. But as I have said earlier, a ring symbolizes a Circle of Love, there is no starting point no ending point, it is endless, it is Eternal Love. So Jodha irrespective of hating her husband has kept his ring with her and her question to him shows that beyond the judgement of Jalal or his decision she is probing so because she wants this circle of Love to continue, which in other words means she wants this marriage or their relationship to last. Or else she wouldn't have put it in front of him for a test, for him to decide whether it should last or be broken depending on what he decides.
I liked this part a lot, a lot of significance was attached to this.
I wish l had a time machine and could fast forward to next week because all the mystery will be unraveled then and today we will be left with a cliffhanger for the whole weekend.
Again after all this is solved I am positive the villains or culprit won't be revealed, all will be shown is Jodha is not pregnant and she is intact with her virtue and Jalal has kept his word to her but who was behind all this and why, will remain a mystery for Jalal and Jodha. CV's won't let go of their army of villains so fast or else how will they bring such twists again in future!! Sigh!
And I want both Jalal and Jodha to repent after this track is over on what they thought and said about each other. Nak ragadna hai toh dono hi karenge, I don't want only Jalal feeling sorry and apologizing to Jodha and she maintaining her rude attitude and impertinent manners towards him.
I just hope when the whole world scorns at Jodha and humiliates her with such abominable accusations then Jalal comes forward and supports her in public and negates all these with one word of his and he being the Shahensha no one will dare say or question any thing but I want him to say which will specially mean a lot to Jodha that he not only believes Jodha is pure and chaste as a Shahensha but as a husband he knows so. Can we have this CV's? Please , pretty please! Thank you!
