why does mahi wear the dupatta when her dad's mad at her? I didn't really watch this drama from the beginning so I was just wondering!.

this type of punishment his dad used to give her 4m the beginning, so this time also she did the same 😛

About the Dupatta.Dupatta is sign of dignity.Whenever Mahi errs in regards of her moral values her father makes her to put dupatta on her head so that it would remind her that she is responsible for her Family's honour and would not make the same mistake again.

First time he did this was when Brij(Mahi's dad) saw her talking and laughing with a guy on the street.Since they are from a small town,Brij doesnt like this and to sort of make Mahi understand her mistake,asks her to put dupatta on her head.And then after few days when he realises that she has learned from her mistake,he tells her not to do so anymore.

Second time she lies about talking with Jeet.But he forgives her instantly because he has a soft heart and loves his daughters very much.

Yep wearing a duputta symbolises upmost respect for your elders, This is why Mahi does this, to show her respect and dignity towards her family and especially her father..
