But I am saying about what fanatics tell in the name of Quran.
Where I heard? I live in India. Watch news and also worked in media. Where I get live interviews of a lot of Muslim girls around the world. Talibans forbidden woman doctors to treat, woman were not allowed to go out, study or work without a male companion. They told it is forbidden for woman in religion. I know it's a lie. Woman education is not forbidden in any religion. Religion itself is a knowledge. Why religion will forbid to study? In a village where I went for an interview, an old man didn't believe me when I told woman can be the Doctors, Engineers etc. He told me that they are committing sin. Once again I know it's a lie. Which I've told to that old man. Who still didn't listen to me, saying you are not Muslim. So you don't know. And yes I know it's not from Quran. But that old man claimed it is in there. As I read the translation. Sofia didn't meet him. Or else she would know how lucky she is.

Here the question is about this spoiled girl. She knows very well that the westerns love to chat on how backward Muslim/Indians are. So she is just using that. Creating a false story of her tortured past. Which is actually giving me the feeling that these are all lie. She must have read or saw this on TV and made her part of story. Where strippers, bar dancers are not encouraged in Western Civiliged and cultured families too. Princess Diana's virginity was tested before her marriage. How progressive are they than us? It says she was murdered because she had an affair with a Muslim man.

So what this adaha Indian adha bilati girl is babbling is just Bakwaz. I've forgot to mention that she decorates her center table in her living room with her naked photos. Forget about Muslim or Indians, this is an uncivilized behavior in every country.

1. Most definitely in our culture family is a unit, but i look at things in quite a different was... u may call it a bit "spiritual", no matter how much i love my family but at the end of the day i am here in this world to live the life God has given ME and he has a individual plan for me. As u say its everyones personal view about things...but wait "points"?? hahah.. is this an argument? I hope not, as that was not my intention at all, yaar...

God has give you life through your family. lol. still i am okay with your view.

2. Of course she should not judge either. But i was saying that JUST for my self, that I TRY NOT TO JUDGE PPL and i hope more ppl would try that... I was not saying that she is a "saint" who does all the right things. As in "Namard" .. she didnt use that word.. she said "Mard Banno" and was simply translating from "Be a MAN" ... I think in this video Gauhar said very well, what I am trying to say too, maybe u'd like to watch:

when you ask a man to be a man then it means he is not a man. besides she did say mein hundustan ko dikhayoon gi app kitna mard ho. i think she understands this well and is quite smart. having a wrong accent does not mean she doesnt understand. lol

3. Of course she ws not fighting for her freedom, I am saying that her words r influenced by her experiences in life (whatever those r)... and parents of the west? - let me please clarify again: I DO NOT SUPPORT HER LIFESTYLE ...I dont "want" any woman to do that, I wouldnt do that myself and I would never encourage any woman to do things she does, but i refuse to judge her by that...

i am actually even okay with her lifestyle. she can be a bar dancer or dance anywhere she wants to. she can get her parents arrested if they were wrong. i left that to open.

my problem is with he behavior on this show. i found it hypocrite and wrong.
4. the accusing someone (Aijaz) ...oh i didnt know u meant tht.. again ya she should not judge either...
okay.
5. Aijaz meant to slap her? - well i think his comment ws clear and the reaction of Kamya, Pratyusha, Tanisha and Gauhar showed that too and also he agreed that what he said was a very "gandi baat" and apologized.

point is if we go into benefit of doubt mode then anything can happen. in society mard banna is not always taken in physical intimacy context. it can mean physical abuse as well. ok i am a man ..i am powerful..i will hit you and show you what man is...whatever it is - it is wrong

6. Aijaz being chauvinistic and Armaan not? Come on yaar, I was trying to explain/assume what Sophia "feels" about Aijaz... I AM NOT SAYING THIS ABOUT HIM. And Armaan, ya well thats Sophia's POV about him, not mine.

i am sorry i did not get this. thanks

At the end i feel u got me completely wrong... y opinion was just that abuse against ur children in the name of honor is wrong, nothing more nothing less, beyond that i am not pro Sophia and against Aijaz and also not the other way around.

honor drama is among the worst things in this world. i wont spare such parents myself. however right now we just dont know the details and even if all that is true it does not mean others should be seen through these glasses. its not their fault. besides she is selective and does not have the guts to behave in fair manner.
i understand you and thanks for your imput. was nice discussing with you.

I have read your post very thoroughly. It's just what you wrote in this sentence that i had a problem with : " If you guys know or have idea of a real communal Muslim family, you'll know study for woman and going out at night is like insulting Quran. "

I did not distort what you wrote in any way. That sentence clearly says says that women studying is like insulting Quran, which is false. I understand now that you meant it as how some extreme muslim families view it, but the statement is not that clear. As this is a public forum with people with many different beliefs, I just did not want anyone to get a wrong idea of what Islam is. I completely understand and agree with whatever else you said about fanatics and Sophia, like I stated before. I just felt that that one sentence needed to be cleared up. 😊

After reading this, I will see sofia so differently. So sad parents could do this to their child. Makes me fell so blessed and fortunate to have a loving and supportive parents. I sincerely wish her the best in like and hope she finds a loving husband who finds her beautiful.
