Sweet is the voice of a sister in the season of sorrow.
" Benjamin Disraeli
Sakshi is the teams very own private counsellor, she knows which case will affect them as a team or just one member.
Chhotu gets emotionally involved if it is the case of a child losing their parent. Arjun gets hurt for people who have treaded the other side of the law because they were once victims, for example the serial killer who murdered people who asked for Dahej. For Ayesha it is any case where children are the victims. Shree gets affected by cases where people suffer from some sort of mental disorder. Sameer he doesn't have one particular type of case where he gets affected by, for him it could be any case. And yet Sakshi knows what it is, and what they need.
So whenever they reach the office she will have her contacts digg up all different type of facts on the killer, or their family and friends, trying to normalize any psychotic killer they have encountered. Or she will talk to Shree on her findings about a killer with a mental disorder, tell him that he or she is doing better now, and not killing random people on the street.
She'll make biryani for Chhotu, give Ayesha a hug and tease her about Sameer. She'll talk to Shree about the latest gadgets released on the market, make sure that Arjun gets a hot cup of cutting chai with some motivational quote on it, sometimes she'll argue with him during a case just so he will be focused afterwards. And she'll get Sameer and herself a cup of coffee, just like he likes it black and no sugar, and they will talk while everyone else, bar Arjun, has left.
Some days it pains Sameer to think about what Sakshi herself must be going through, he knows how much it hurts her to not always be able to help out. So he never Dammits her, and if Arjun and she get into an argument he'll allow that, as he knows that Arjun sometimes needs to get anger out of his system and she is helping him do just that. Like she had once told him they need to save people, but they shouldn't get lost themselves, her arguing with Arjun makes sure he doesn't lose himself in his anger.
Sometimes when Sameer knows that a case hit to close to home for Sakshi he leaves something cute and nice on her desk just so she will know that she's appreciated. And when Sakshi finds it she'll get him a cup of coffee. They never talk of the gifts, but he knows she loves it because on those days she is extra chirpy and there is a bounce in her step, for her that's an acknowledgement that she hasn't been forgotten
Some days Sameer is afraid of what will happen to the team if Sakshi one day quits her job or if Arjun makes her leave again, she is their coping mechanism.
But then he looks out of his office into the conference room and sees her sitting between Shree and Chhotu, while Arjun is sitting at his end of the table. All three of them are laughing, yes even Arjun has a small glint in his eyes, even though the last case hit them hard. Sameer decides to not worry about her leaving, instead he will bring her a nice photo frame tomorrow, just so she will know that she is needed.
