Cliff: Continued the part where Rogelio pushed Desiree down the cliff. Rogelio wonder how Mauricio was able to take away his two favourite girls; Carlotta and Desiree. After tired begging, Desiree cursed Rogelio. She said tht she'll die fast but Rogelio will die alone, grow old in jail for the rest of his life. She cursed tht he'll remember her and she'll be his hell on earth. She ordered him to look at her. Rogleio snatched her necklace and used his knuckles to push Desiree's chin until her whole body fell backwards into the sea. She screamed in horror. Rogleio held the necklace, dangling in his firm grip.
Perez house: Pachecho came to tell Salvador tht Diaz had been detained and the prosecutor was looking for Salvador. Pachecho guessed tht they wanted to promote Salvador as the new Police Chief. Azucena and Ana Maria joined them. He told Salvador tht Mauricio was found not guilty and the police were hunting Rogelio. Ana Maria and Azucena cheered and smiled.
Hospital: Mauricio was lying in bed and Juana was right beside him, holding his hand. He didn't want to leave her and warned her to expect the worse. She didn't want him to talke nonsence. He's too old for her to scold. She said it's up to him to be brave and strive to survive for his daughter and his beloved girlfriend. He still wanted her to be prepared for the worst. Juana said in her heart "This is not happening." (sounds like one of xfiles ep title during season 8. I missed Mulder and Scully so much). Their love story can't end like this, not after all the obstacles tht they had to face. Mauricio fell asleep.
Vivas Car: Rogleio kissed Desiree's necklace. He was distracted by the news on radio announcing tht Mauricio had been released and the police were looking for Rogelio for killing Francisco. Camacho's eyes widened. Rogelio wiped fresh sweat from his forehead.
Mauricio's office: Armando surprised to see Enriuqeta busy with the files. She said tht she's preparing documents for the person who will replace Alfredo. The she told him tht she's going for a vacation for a few days. Armando thought the idea was good, she needed to relax. She hope Aramndo can handle things around the office when she's gone. He's more than happy to do so because Enriuqeta believed in him. Armando said tht she'll be her old self again after the vacation and the 3 of them (Armando, Mauricio and Enriqueta) will work together again. She agreed and wonder if Desiree would join them. He said with her missing, they should expect the worst.
Vivas Car: Rogelio was talking to somebody on the phone. He was told tht the police got an evidence against him, a photo captured by Juana. Rogelio adressed Juana as 'stupid' and told Camacho tht Juana used the photo of both of them dragging Franciso's body to release Mauricio. Rogelio decided to run away using the sea because the airport and highways must have been surrounded by police. Camacho obeyed and started driving.
Hospital: A nurse was checking on Mauricio and later Juana arrived. The nurse reminded them to call her if they need anything. Mauricio told Juana tht he needed a miracle. Juana hated hearing him giving up. She asked if he wanted her to hit him, smack him or kick him in order to make him show some positive reactions.
Mauricio wanted her to be prepared for any consequences. Juana wanted him to stop saying tht but Mauricio refused to stop because what he said was true. If he died, he wanted Juana and Mariana to keep on living comfortably. Juana can't stop her tears and told him to shut up and wanted him to fight it like he did before. She wanted him to do that for her, for mariana, for himself. It's up to him to decide whether the three of them will live happily or suffer.
Rogelio's apartment: Desiree's mom can feel tht something bad happened to Desiree. Her son told her to relax. She said they both knew tht her intuition never wrong. He started crying and said he thought when he took the blame for Desiree's crime, she'll become a good person and find happiness. They can only plan everything but fate will take its route.
Police Station: Salvador was talking to a commisioner about Diaz's bad doings and his involvement with Rogelio. Salvador was appointed as the new Police Chief replacing Diaz.
Mauricio's office: Armando was talking alone. He said things were back to normal. He quietly praised Enriqueta as a hard working and great woman. Later we can hear Ines' voice trying to stop someone from entering the office. It was Manuel demanding to see Enriqueta. Armando told him the she left.
Travel Agency: Enriqueta was drinking coffee while waiting for her ticket. She decided to cut any contact with civilization and go to an island. She wanted to find herself. The clerk asked her if she's travelling alone. She said yes and he gave her the ticket.
Airport: Enriqueta was boarding the plane.
Mauricio's office: Manuel admitted tht he lost her forever. Armando said he didn't understand what Enriqueta find interesting in Manuel. Manuel got angry and sprang to his feet. Armando asked him to calm down and said tht he's sincere with tht statement because he knew tht Enriqueta still loved Manuel. Manuel said tht Armando's words were wierd. He slowly sat down. Armando told him thtEnriqueta was a very precious, great woman. Manuel took a sip of his tea and agreed with Armando. Armando admit tht once he had a serious relationship with Enriqueta. He told Manuel tht sh'es taking a vacation to relax her mind and he believed tht it had something to do withManuel. Manuel admit tht he's afread tht he might found the woman tht was able to trap him forever and he chickened out. Armando nderstood and said after that he realised tht what you felt was something deep, something tht was permanent and u cannot back out. Manuel agreed. Armando told his theory tht may be it was exactly what Enriqueta was feeling. She found those things in Manuel. He later told Manuel tht Enriqueta left a few minutes ago. Manuel's face glowed and sprang tohis feet again asking if tht's true. Now he had hope tht he might be able to catch her before it's too late. Armando didn't know where she went but he suggested tht Manuel check with the company's travel agency.
Vivas house: Amparito was talking with Humberto. She said tht Alfredo was in Columbia with his grandpa, running away from Rogelio. Rogelio was being hunted down by the police and Carlotta was in the rehabilitation center. She wondered wht happened to their family. Humberto said tht they were destroyed bit by bit. Amparito remembered tht Humberto used to say tht long ago. He sensed tht way before the family fall apart (something he got from aunt eva?). She apologized for not listening to him. He said it's not her fault, it's because Rogelio had too much power. She hope tht one day he will forgive her for hurting his heart. She was sobing. Humberto approached his mother and sat beside her, hugging her.
Police station: The comissioner, Pachecho, Ana maria, Maria Rosa and Salvador were celebrating Salvador's appointment as the new Police Chief. Ana Maria admitted tht he changed her life and Salvador said he kniew his life would change immediately after meeting her. She's glad tht everything changed for the better. They kissed (the scene was cut short)
Island/beach: Enriqueta was walking along the beach. She look beautiful like always. She wore sunglases. We can see boats passing by on the background. She pulled her hair over her left shoulder and sat on a log facing the sea. She pushed her sunglasses passed her forehead and a shadow approached her. She turned and stood up to face Manuel who was dressed in white.
Perez house: Juana arrived and Azucena ran downstairs, happy to see Juana. Juana asked where was Mariana. She told her tht Mariana was sleeping in her little bed. She was worried when she saw Juana's facial expression. She congratulated Juana for Mauricio's freedom but Juana replied tht Mauricio was not a free man. he's in the hospital because he was sick when he was in prison. Azucena approached her n said she knew Juana was suffering. Juana suddenly started to talk loudly and said tht she's tired of suffering. She won't give up because mauricio was her dream, her life. She apologize to God for her harsh words but she cannot let HIM take away Mauricio. If God wanted to take him, HE had to do it in front of her so tht when HE looked into her eyes, HE'll see the light of her love for Mauricio. "HE cannot take Mauricio away from me!"
Island/beach: Enriqueta asked how did he get there? manuel answered tht he arrived plane, just like her. She explained tht she wanted to get away from everything. manuel realised tht she was actually running away from him. He wished tht she would listen to his explanation about his feelings. After tht he'll leave her alone. She agreed and walked towards the log and sat down. Manuel followed her and sat very close next to her. He asked whether she knew what maggots are. She smiled and asked "What?" He said tht he's using tht metaphore to describe himself. He admitted tht before meeting Enriqueta he was a man free from responsibility without realising tht he's a maggot. Living in a comfortable place. he felt like a teenager looking out for his family; his mother, his sister and a beautiful niece. He had lots of girlfriend and offer no commitment to any of them. he enjoyed tht life. Enriqueta said she already knew that. manuel said no, after being with her, the maggot turned into a butterfly. Enriqueta teasingly added tht now the butterfly wanted to fly away as far as possible. She congratulated him for choosing a very good metaphore to represent himself. Manuel smiled and said he understood the insinuation, but she's wrong. There's a second part of the story. When he was with Enriqueta, the butterfly learnt to fly, how to love. He thought by being serious with her he'll make the same mistake as his father. tht made him afraid. She wondered wht made him change his mind. He said, he had a greater fear. He's afraid tht he'll lose her because he loved her too much.
Boat: Camacho told Rogelio tht they're going to start their journey in 2 minutes. Rogelio wondered how if they were going to be able to escape. Later the police arrived and surrounded the boat. They were warned tht the Marine police were also surrounding him. Rogelio had no where to run.
Night..
Perez house: Ana Maria arrived and happily told Azucena tht Salvador was promoted. She was so proud of him. She asked about Juana and she was surprised tht Juana was iat the hospital with Mauricio.
Jail: Rogelio entered and Salvador was there to welcome him and read him his rights. Rogelio congratulated him for the new position. he said tht now Salvador had great power and if he used it wisely, he could become very very rich. Salvador warned him to becareful with his words because it'll complicated his case. He said there are some people who cannot be bought. Rogelio was very quiet.
Hospital: Aunt Eva touched Mauricio's cheek and he kissed her palm. Then Juana arrived with Mariana. He asked wht was she doing there. the Nurse said only one person can stay with the patient for the night. Juana firmly said tht Mauricio was the father of her baby and tht gave them every right to be there with him. He didn't want her to worry about him but Juana said tht she and Mariana will stay as long as they wanted to. Mariana grinned widely to her father. Juana said no one can stop her from being with him eventhough the therapy will take a long time. Mauricio smiled.
Jail: Rogelio sat alone remembering the incident where he pushed Desiree down the cliff.
Rogelio's apartment: Alajendro came to tell DEsiree's mom and her brother tht Rogelio was captured and Desiree's body was found floating in the sea by a bunch of fishermen. Desiree's mom cried.
Jail: Amparito came to visit Rogelio. Rogelio sat by the bed near the wall. She admitted tht she still loved him eventhough he didn't care. maybe tht was the only way to love him. She had the faith to keep on living because of their children. She'll teach them how to live differently. Rogelio told her to cut her speech short. She said tht this would be the last time she'll ever speak to him. She went out.
Hospital: Juana begged Mauricio not to send her away. She wanted to grow old with him. Juana cried and continued tht both of them will watch Mariana grow and give them grandchildren. Mauricio smiled and said he never imagined Juana being old. She said he better start imagining that. Then a doctor came to tell him to get ready for the surgery. Mauricio wiped his tears and asked Juana to pass Mariana to him. Mariana concerntrated on her father when he said tht she's his miracle. Juana watching them, she wiped her tears. He told Mariana tht she and Juana were the best thing ever happened in his life. Mariana pulled a face and seemed more than ready to wail. The camera pans to Mariana's back and switch to another scene.
Positivo: mariana seemed older and Mauricio holding her spinning on an office chair. He was grinning and the staff; Dora, Ines, Shiva, La Bibi, Popeye, Armando, Brandy and David (on his feet!) were watching them with smiles on their faces. Mauricio hugged Mariana and was surprised to hear Mariana said 'papa'. Later Carlotta arrived.
Perez house: Manuel arrived with Enriqueta and Juana opened the door for them. manuel hope Juana was calling them for a good reason coz he had to leave his important customers at his photo studio. Juana complained tht since he opened his own photo studio, he was too busy to talk to her. Enriqueta admitted tht both of them had a busy life, this meeting was a good excuse for them to get together. Manuel hugged Enriqueta from behind. Juana told them to sit down while she called the rest of the family for the important announcement.
Positivo/Mauricio's office: Carlotta came to apologize and she was ashamed to meet Mauricio after everything tht happened. Mauricio said he didn't have any vengence towards carlotta. She thanked God tht now Mauricio's healthy again. He said death made him value life. She wish tht he'll have a long life. She smiled and informed him tht she had remarried and they'll be living in another country. Mauricio smiled and happy for her. He said eventhough they wont be seeing each other again, their past molded their present life. He wanted to remember their great times together. She admitted tht after seeing him, her fear diminished. Now she understood tht loving someone didn't mean tht she had to overpowered him. Her obsession had hurt herself. She escuse herself becuz her husband was waiting for her. Carlotta promised not to repeat her mistake. She said goodbye and they hugged.
Brandy was carrying Mariana. CArlotta approached her and congratulate her for marrying David. She sure tht Brandy was waiting for a baby of her own. Carlotta said goodbye to everybody and touched Mariana before leaving. Brandy commented tht Carlotta was not the same woman. Popeye said tht life teach people to learn from their mistakes. La Bibi added tht if Carlotta did't learn from her mistake, she'll be just like her father.
Prison: Rogelio looked dirty and unshaven in a crowded cell. He kept hearing Desiree's last words. She cursed him tht he'll die alon, old and rot in jail. She said his memory with her would be like hell on earth.
Perez house: Juana told Ana Maria to hurry. ana Maria complained tht she can't go faster with her big belly. Salvador helped her get to the sofa. Azucena smiled pleasantly. Ana Maria wonder how can she hide her 8 month belly. Everybody laughed. She said just wait when Enriqueta get pregnant. Enriqueta admitted tht she's already pregnant and laughed out loud. Azucena was so happy and hugged her. Azucena seemed younger with shorter hair.
Juana told them to calm down and listen to her. She commented tht Mariana will get a much younger uncle and Enriqueta's child will be.. they told her to talk no more. Azucena said they will be a big happy family. Then Juana told them tht Mauricio had a surprise for them. She reveal a ticket written 'Avior' across it. All of them are going for a vacation to Merida where she and Mauricio will get married. Everybody clapped and said it's great. Ana maria kissed her husband's cheek.
Airport: Avior Express plane landed in Merida.
Merida: The scenery was beautiful, especially the mountains. We can see two old couple walking up the stairs going into a church. They were Mauricio and Juana. Mauricio used a walking stick. They sat on two little chairs and Mauricio asked whether she remember tht place. Juana nodded and said 50 years abo they were married in tht church. Mauricio turn to look at the entrance.
Flashback/church: David and Brandy talking to Enriqueta. They walked away and Nicolas and Rafael were joking, Salvador, Ana Maria was holding Mariana (where's the 8 month belly?), Aunt Eva was with Azucena. Juana and Manuel was just entering. She looked beautiful in white dress with curly hair. David hugged Brandy from behind and they both agree tht Juana seemed beautiful. Mauricio walked slowly towards her, smiling. Back to the present.
Present/church: Juana said tht day was perfect. She was the happiest bried in the world. Juana turn to look at the entrance and then another flashback.
Flashback/church: Manuel smiled and gave Juana's hand to Mauricio. He said, "I give u my sunshine." Juana was narrating the scene. "My grandma was there, Aunt Eva, my mom, our mariana, Salvador, Rafael, Nicolas, Enriqueta, Manolito and your bestman and my bridesmaid; David and Brandy." They all stood closer and the scene froze. Juana continued, "Most of them had left us. Grandma, Aunt Eva, My mom, Salvador... Our time is getting closer too but their memories are still fresh in my mind."
Present/church: Mauricio asked if she's afraid of death, afraid tht everything will end. Juana said love will never die. Love will always flourish and remind them of those who had gone. Mauricio wanted her to close her eyes and try to remember their kiss on their wedding day. The scene slowly dissolve into younger Juana and Mauricio kissing on their wedding day at the same spot.
Outside/lake: Juana and Mauricio walking on the platform. Their favourite song can be heard on the background. They held hand and spin happily. We can hear Juana said, "Love will never die." mauricio (with both hands in his pockets) teasingly said "Beautiful... the flower." Juana was surprised and chased him. He laughed.
Flashback/outside: Juana was on her bike. Mauricio said, "Bonita.. la moto." Juana was surprised and sighed.
Flashback/De la Vega house: Juana had just ran into De la Vega's front yard with Pitusa. She nervously tried to explain to Mauricio tht she's the new photographer for the party.
Outside/lake: They walked hand in hand. mauricio said she's everything for him. They kissed.
Flashback/positivo: Mauricio threw a pencil and Juana crawled out of her hiding place. Mauricio huried towards her caught her.
Flashback/ outside: Juana and Mauricio sitting under the stars. Juana asked what was he looking for in the sky? mauricio said he was looking for everything. Everything that had been written in the stars. Juana laughed.
By the lake: They were sitting at the platform. Mauricio said she's the answer to everything tht he was looking for. Later Juana was sitting high up on a big rock. Mauricio was leaning to kiss her stomach.
Flashback/cabin: Mauricio kissed Juana's stomach and rested his head to her tummy. Juana smiled.
By the lake: Juana and Mauricio walked hand in hand along the lake.
Church: Old Juana and Mauricio walked out of the church, walking away. Juana said,"love will never die."
By the lake: Young Juana and Mauricio continue walking (the scene was alternately shown between the old ones walking and the young ones walking).
