At times i get annoyed at rajji because she does things FOR sohum even if she knows that it will make him angry and so he will scold her.
But i still like her character very much and sohum too. Yes they get angry, yes they take stupid decisions, yes they are still finding themselves and maybe it's annoying to watch for some of you but i find it enjoyable.
Rajji and sohum's story is very realistic and well portrayed (the only complaint i have is that it was a bit rushed to lead to the consummation scene). They slept together and that seems to be such a big deal but i don't find so. Maybe it's morally wrong but rajji was in love with sohum and even if sohum doesn't love her back, it doesn't invalidate her feelings. And sohum was drunk but he was still very attracted to rajji physically but he wouldn't show it nor accept it because of his obsession over bani. Basically they both gave in and i don't blame them for it.
It's a way to empower girls by showing heroine with devoted husband. But it's another way to show that a girl can make mistake, can have feelings, can take decisions in her life (stand her ground is she wants to, leave if she wants to, have sex with her husband if she wants to,...). Some of her decisions might be mistakes but it can also be seen as experiences.
Indian girls grow up in their house but as soon as they get married they are on their own but are still expected to do the right things everytime. I find it a bit harsh.
