J Karthik, who made his debut with Deadly 2 and was last seen in Varadanayaka, is headed for a stint on TV. The young actor, whose popularity soar as one of the star players for the Karnataka Bulldozers at the Celebrity Cricket League, has been making one-off appearances on TV, like the cookery show hosted by his KB teammate Rahul, among others.
But now, he will be seen in a daily soap that is to be telecast on a regional channel fromMondaytoFriday, starting June. "I am starring in the serial called Ashwini Nakshatra, which is the remake of the Hindi series Madhubala that is currently still being aired. The story revolves around the life of a film superstar and I play that character," says Karthik, adding that teaser promos of the soap have just been released online.
