It's possible that Shiv is Meenu's child but it will looks very heartless of Shekhars to switch one child to other mother just to make Ira happy...adopted one looks better...like Shiv was adopted by Ira due to some conceiving problems but later on Ira was able to give birth to Saanchi

Mahi is elder to the missing child, so Meenu had Mahi for her when she gave birth to second child. Ira would have been pregnant with her first child. Ira may have lost her first child during childbirth, while Meenu went on to give birth to a healthy child, Shiv. Alok and Daddu may have hatched a plan and switched two babies around, since Meenu has a child to call her own, whereas Ira would be shattered by the dead baby news.

It solves both mysteries, but what is the point of all this? So what if Shiv is Meenu's son? They all live under the same roof anyway.
