The Point of the KS Embargo...?

😃 wow well put !! i see you agree with me though you used a different set of arguements just for that 🤗 heres what i put in my own post:

Guys i know theres a big boycott going on ...which is fine from there point of view but i just had a few points to say i was gonna keep quiet...but thought i might as well say my bit like usual i dont care what happens

The story was focusing on the three sisters was it not...now in between like i said before the focus went completly on Jai and Bani however now i am noticing that ektaji seems to be focusing back on the sisters in order for the story to go full circle its neccesary is it not i for one am glad...before they focus on jai and bani..i know alot of people dont want pia redeamed but to keep the story on track it is neccesary...and it is getting back on track.

Kasamh will be boring even banis speech after the two month leap hinted that krishna is gonna be the next big thing .....and even Jais redemption has ekta really told us that the kids pia we cannot be 100% certain till the dna report comes out.One thing i agree though is that body doubles were not neccesary but then i also did say that maybe theres a reason like more inportant story later....plus the fact if both go off people might moan about that either way its gonna get moaned about.

Ok kill me hit me whatever you want thats what i feel and i actually find this boycott disturbing and dont think will be on if till its finished.

Kasamh Se was always supposed to be about Bani, Pia and Rano. Look at the top of this page... "An Ekta Kapoor Serial, it deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Bani, Pia and Rano."

Somewhere along the way, it turned into a love story between a tortured and disillusioned middle-aged man, and his much younger, much more positive and loving wife. 😳

Despite everything I say, I am a total J-B despo and love the romance and fairy-tale quality of their story. 😳 19/6 is one of my fave episodes, along with JW talking to his child in Bani's tummy, Bani's return from her mother's barsi etc etc...

However, I am also able to think "outside the box" and recognise that J-B was not supposed to be the "be all and end all" of this show.

I agree with you on this point...that they should not focus only on one sister. However, I guess I am just upset that they have been constantly playing with character sketches.

If they had stuck to each character as they had been conceptulaized it would have helped a lot. I am not saying that circumstances dont change people, however they do not always bring out the worse in the person.

For example, lets suppose (just suppose) the ONS DID happen. They could have resolved this in a much better way that completely maligning Pia's character. Yes she thought she loved JW for whatever reasons, and she knew (at that point ) that a. Bani wants divorce under any circumstances b. Bani was in love with Pushy at some point. But what was done to Pia...she suddenly turned into a b*tch and cared for nothing but herself. This was so not what I would have expected. they could have had her move on.

The actors and actresses besides RK and PD signed contracts with Balaji Telefilms - ethics denotes these contracts be adhered to! You can't just kill someone off because the audience prefers a different storyline!

I am not in the favor of Pia being killed. I would rather have her pay for her sins...maybe even turn over a new leaf if need be...

The angry flare up that I have seen on the forum at the possiblity of Pia's redemption (though unsurprising) makes me a little sad. Why shouldn't Pia's character be redeemed? In fact, I think her character has received a worse slaughter than any other! 🤢

She used to be a fun-loving, but self-centred and arrogant girl, who was nevertheless fiercely protective of her sisters. She was turned into a horrifically selfish, mercilessly vicious witch for no rhyme nor reason... her actions have no motive, no basis at all. 😡

Why should RC then lose her job, or be forced out of the story because the kreatives messed up and the audience now hate her for being a obstacle to J-B?? 😕

If Pia can be convincingly redeemed then why shouldn't she be?? Are we honestly saying she is not allowed to be genuinely remorseful of her actions? (MT managed it magnificently in a recent FF of hers, it can definitely be done!! 😉 )

Cords...I think the thinking of a lot of people here is that since Pia's character has been twisted so much, it would be much better to get rid of her since not a lot of people will be able to digest her redemption.

Even if redemption is done in a believable manner, I guess Bani being able to accept her in her life will be hard to digest. There wont be much scope for her character to be in the story (unless all sisters part ways as in the book)
Why can't the story go back to centering around the 3 sisters instead of being all about just one?! 🤢

I am all for this. But that is something they have not handled well so far, and hence the audience has become addicted to the JB pair.

The "ONS" was, in my opinion, definitely a result of the ridiculous alimony fiasco, and from there, things have just gone from bad to worse, but boycotting a show is not going to help the situation.

What are we hoping to achieve with this? Bullying Kekta into turning KS into a show that it wasn't supposed to be? I agree that the audience has a complete right to share their views and watch what they want, but does that mean we can threaten to switch off unless a certain character is dealt with in a certain way? 🤔
I personally am only on the boycott for the main reason that I cannot accept the ONS. It makes me cringe when I think that the same man slept with both sisters on the same night. That too he was drugged and drunk.🤢
And as for the body doubles, well yes, they are annoying, but does the audience believe that the Kreatives are using them on purpose, or for the benefit of their own health? 😆

The show is a drama, but the actors are real people!! Scheduling conflicts, exams, vacations, injuries, other commitments - they all have to be dealt with don't they??

What would be preferred? No J-B at all? I know that's not what I would choose! I agree that the magic of J-B is not the same without RK and PD in the same frame, but until that becomes possible what's the point in threatening an embargo on the entire show?

I'm not saying the Kreatives are doing a great job. We have FF writers on this forum who have done one hundred times better and if employed by Balaji could keep the show at the No. 1 spot for the rest of its time. 👏

However, I see very little point in condemning a show before it has resolved a storyline. The DNA report is too big a loophole to be just a mistakenly forgotten piece of evidence. I am sure, as are many others on the forum, that it is being saved for some point when its effect will be the greatest. Until then, what's the use in crying out for it over and over again? 😕

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinions for sure - though how this ties in with making a Sticky out of a Boycott post or Freeing J-B from the "Repto claim game" post, I will never know. I didn't realise people's opinions could be displayed in such a way as to allow others to assume they are representative of the entire forum!! 😕 But, each to their own.

Well I guess it just the matter of everyone POV. I have issues with the way certain things are shown and interpreted in the serial (medical/ legal facts, treatment of widow/ unborns). However, it is true that making it a sticky is like forcing the views of a certain sect as a representative view.
The fact remains that every show has its ups and downs.

It happened to KTH when Rajeev Kh. left the show, or when Sujal and Kashish were apart (which was, let's face it, most of the time!! 😆 ) - but the show still had a very successful run, and viewers were accepting of storylines that did not revolve around the lead pair (according to a former fellow IF-er who was as addicted to KTH as I am to KS 😳 ).

And now it's happening to KS. But that doesn't change the fact that it is still the only show I follow regularly, and the only show which awakens my argumentative side! 😛 😆

I for one, won't be switching off anytime soon - I'm afraid you're all stuck with me for a long time to come! 😉

I am all for making amends...pia can take steps to fix what she did...but I dont know how to explain in an convincing manner that she slept with her BIL or accused him of being her child's father.

I guess as long as they make her repent and then turn into a better person, iot would be okay. I for one do not wish RC to lose her job because some people in their delusion, decided to experiment with her character.

However, if the expectation is that by Pia trying to be nice, Bani and Rano should easily take her back then I think it will be hard. Despite Bani being the all forgiving darling that she is, if she easliy forgives and forgets Pia for being a wedge between her husband and her (for whatever the motive was), it would mean that we are once again letting the bad get away with what they want.

well said yaar!! 😊 it is punishing hours they work.....as for roshni it does make me mad that she gets so much hate not just her character shes not given a proper chance...it will get better i am 100% sure ...people must think ekta sits in her office doing nothing but how to ruin shows shes a brain she knows what shes doing.
