Show makers are taking inspiration from real-life stories and recreating them with a dash of make belief. Shows like 'Webbed', 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui', 'Bhoot Aaya', 'Fear Files', 'Crime Patrol', 'Shapath' and 'Savdhaan India' take their inspiration from real life.
Akashdeep Sabir, creative director of'Bhoot Aaya', a show with a mix of horror and realism, says, "We aimed at recreating real stories with real people not only appearingon the show but sharing their experiences too. There is a growingdemand for shows which go beyond fiction. Reality, when blended harmoniously with fiction offers interesting content and the right kind of drama making it a whole some entertainment package."
Actor Vikrant Massey, who is currently presenting' Yeh Hai Aashiqui', a dramatized version of real-life unconventional love stories, says, "I was keen to host this show because it's about unusual love stories which are against societal perceptions and the so-called rules and regulations."
