every father has the right to decide what is best for his daughter. satyavati's father and kashi king did the same thing though in different ways. satyavati's father made bheeshma give up the throne for his daughter's interests. same way kashi king didnt invite vichitraveerya because he thought that he was not fit for any of his daughters. he didnt do that to show neecha to hastinapur but because as a father he felt that the prince of hastinapur was not worthy for his daughters. was he wrong as a dad ?
if bheeshma could respect satyavati's dad's wishes and took a stupid oath then why couldnt he respect the feelings of kashi king ? why bheeshma had to go and create havoc over there to take revenge and prove how powerful he was ?
he highly followed satyavati's dad's unjust wishes for his daughter's interests , then kashi king's decision of not inviting vichitraveerya was totally just as vichitraveerya was indeed not fit.
bheeshma could respect the desires of a selfish dad but not of a just and selfless dad.
now coming to swayamvara and the best warrior won🤣🤣. well there are lots of points you are forgetting. the swayamvara of kashi princesses was not a competition like draupadi's swayamvara or sita swayamvara. there was not any sport or any condition that whoever wins will get the princess as his bride. the swayamvara of kashi princesses was purely on their wish as to whom they want to select without and competition of winning. so bheeshma violated the rule😆.
besides in swayamvara the actual husband has to win it. not his brother father or any other damn person. it was swayamvara and not swayamjeth or swayamsasur 🤪
