Sandhya (Deepika Singh) has always had to balance between her household chores and studies in Shashi-Sumeet Productions' Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus.
However, this time around she will have to break certain rules to bring a smile on her mother-in-law's face.
As seen so far, Sandhya has received a letter for an interview from UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and after reading it she will be both nervous and excited - nervous because of the kind of questions she will be asked, and excited about her being so close to being a DSP. At this juncture, Sooraj (Anas Rashid) will be seen motivating her and also gifting her a simple sari that happens to be the dress code of interviewees.
However, to her surprise her mother-in-law (Neelu Waghela) will plan a different look for her. She will ask Sandhya to get rid of the simple sari and wear a jazzy one with lots of jewellery.
Not wearing the jazzy attire would mean hurting her mother-in-law's sentiments while agreeing to her demands would mean jeopardizing her interview.
So what will the aspiring DSP do?
Well if sources are to be believed, she will not let down Bhabho (Neelu Vaghela) and wear the jazzy attire.
Luckily for her, the interviewers will let her appear for an interview in spite of the jazzy attire as they'd like her reason for not abiding the dress code.
