Its all in the genes - think again! Bollywood has shown time and again that if super-hit parents like Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan gave us hit actors like Ranbir and Abhishek (respectively), there are actors like Tanishaa Mukherjee, Twinkle and Rinkie Khanna, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol among others, who remind us that acting is not all about genes! A look at some not so successful kids of their very successful parents.
Tanishaa Mukherjee: Tanuja's younger daughter Tanishaa tried hard to make a name for herself in Bollywood but unlike her famous sister Kajol she has failed at all fronts. She made a bold and daring attempt at achieving success with 'Neil and Nikki', but failed to impress. She is also trying her luck in the Marathi film industry as a producer. Besides Tanishaa is fast gaining 'popularity' on controversial celebrity game show 'Bigg Boss' for all the wrong reasons!
Armaan Kohli: Tanishaa is closely followed by her 'Bigg Boss' housemate and rumoured flame Armaan. Son of producer and director Rajkumar Kohli and yesteryear actress Nishi, Armaan also failed to make his position in Bollywood prominent. The actor has a long list of flop films like 'Dushmani' (2002), 'Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani' (2002), 'LOC: Kargil' (2003)

Soha Ali Khan: Bollywood's famous actress Sharmilla Tagore's not-so-famous daughter Soha Ali Khan failed to establish herself as a B-town diva unlike her mom! Her brother Saif Ali Khan, however sailed through the difficult times and joined the league of successful actors of B-town!
Esha Deol: With parents like Dharmendra and Hema Malini it is tough to live up to their successful status, and Esha failed completely. Esha's only claim to fame is 'Dhoom'. The actress failed to impress audience and critics with films like 'Na Tum Jaano Na Hum', 'Darling', 'Ankahee' among others. Esha Deol married entrepreneur Bharat Takhtani in 2012.
Rinke/Twinkle Khanna: Sisters Twinkle and Rinke Khanna could never match the baggage of their superstar father Rajesh Khanna's fame. Neither sisters have a film to claim as hit! Twinkle, who married actor Akshay Kumar also tried her luck at production with films like 'Khatta Meetha. Patiala House, Khiladi 786' but to no avail

Uday Chopra: He has a famnous father Yash Chopra, brother Aditya Chopra but Uday Chopra failed to make a mark in Bollywood despite having worked in majority of his father's production. His only claim to fame till date is 'Dhoom' series.
Tusshar Kapoor: Jitender's son Tusshar failed to make his place in Bollywood. The actor however has films like the 'Golmaal series', which save him from an outright fail. The actor has recently turned a producer, however there too he has his successful elder sister Ekta to compete with.
Mahaakshay: Mimoh aka Mahaakshay Chakraborty made his debut in 2008 with action flick 'Jimmy'. It was a dud, both in the critics' books as well as at the box office. Mimoh, who was recently relaunched by his father Mitun Chakraborty in 'Enemmy', said that his luck has not favoured him.
"As an actor I feel he has everything, otherwise I am not a fool to push him. He has it in him but luck has to be there on your side as well. It is ok... it happens," he said.
Fardeen Khan: Feroz Khan's son Fardeen Khan had won the Best Debut award, however he showed no promise as an actor later. If he has good films like 'No Entry' and 'Dev' to his credit there is a long list of flops like 'Fida' and 'Khushi
"As an actor I feel he has everything, otherwise I am not a fool to push him. He has it in him but luck has to be there on your side as well. It is ok... it happens," he said.
Rajiv Kapoor: The youngest son of legendary actor Raj Kapoor, Rajiv had a short stint in the film industry, acting in only 13 films. He was not as successful as his other brothers Randhir and Rishi, but he is noted for his role in 'Ram Teri Ganga Maili'.
Prateik Babbar: Though Smita Patel and Raj Babber's son Prateik made a promising start with 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Naa', Prateik Babbar's Bollywood journey went down the rabbit hole. Prateik, who has been a part of strong films like 'Arakshan' and 'Dhobi Ghaat' could never find a firm footing in the B-town.
Zayed Khan: Born to actor Sanjay Khan, Zayed Khan too nhad a promising start with films like 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Dus'. However Zayed could never achieve the stardom that his father enjoys or that of his brother-in-law Hrithik Rosha 
Jackky Bhagnani: Born to producer Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky made a promising start in 2009 but failed to get good response later. The actor, who is a talented dancer, also failed in the second innings with 'Rangrezz'.
Adhyayan Suman: Son of actor Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan has has appeared in flop films like 'Himmatwala', the only hit film to his credit is 'Raaz- The Mystery Continues'.
Puru Raajkumar: Son of famous actor Raaj Kumar, Puru Raajkumar failed at the very onset of his career. The actor, who began his career with 'Bal Brahmachari' opposite Karisma Kapoor, has appeared in films like 'Mission Kashmir, Veer'. 
Kumar Gaurav: Born to late actor and Jubilee Kumar Rajendra Kumar, Kumar Gaurav began his career with a superhit film 'Love Story' but inspite of the initial success, Kumar Gaurav could not match his father's celebrity stature.
