She understands hindi very well...but in front of Salman acts as if she doesn't understand...!

She struggles to get what Salman says mostly bcoz Salman in his attempt to create some humor says too fast and not in a direct way. So it gets difficult to understand him esp for someone for whom Hindi is not her first language. One of my South Indian friend who has been staying in north for the last 4 years still struggles to get into our conversations due to his hindi. So i exactly understand how Eli feels and i believe she is doing the best she can in the show.

It's not about speaking...it's about understanding!
She understands hindi very well...but acts in front of Salman as if she doesn't understand!!

Looks like nobody watched or remembers the first episode of BB7 where Salman was talking to all the contestants, that time Elli spoke good Hindi. She knows good Hindi.
