They forgave him when he helped the villagers in the market and next saved hundreds of lives in the swine flu epidemic Anandi's villagers insulted Kalyani devi and Singhs a lot at Anandi's mother's funeral It was Anandi who stood for them because she had a reason to stand for them because they broke cords with their own son for her and supported her Here Shekhars and Shiv did wrong with Jagya whom now villagers respect and love , worship for what he has done for her which they can never repay If someone will do wrong to him why he won't face anger of villagers ? Don't we get angry at the person who hurt our dear ones so why villagers have no right to show their anger and they did very less Its not like they boycotted Shekhars and Shiv just like they did of Jagya when they believed he had wronged their Anandi ? so why villagers need to get a life?
