I was wondering how would Jalal meet Jodha in Agra as he did in Amer. Jalal answered all my questions today by saying he would demand it as a husband. If that doesn't work he would demand it as a shenshah. That's great strategy Jalal, no other way to deal with THE stubborn Jodha. How different was this scene compared to their first night when Jalal requests her to sing. He was mad at her for not coming to the sabah as per his request. The moment he sees her the anger goes away and then comes back again after she wakes up. He couldn't win that time with her arguments and did not win today either. He very calmly asks her as to why she did not come to the game room. BTW, wasn't it funny the way he said 'hum bas aap ke saath thodi der khelna chahte the' - kya pyaar ka khel? Jodha very calmly explains that she is a wife and not a dasi, just like she did in their first night. Jodha has a heart of gold, she is worried about Ruqu and is willing to give away her rights. She is not one bit insecured and after today I feel she will never be jealous of Ruqu even in future. She has understood that Jalal-Ruqu are childhood friends and share a special bond. She admires their friendship and does not want to be the cause of any problems there. Instead of a regular wife who could have instigated Jalal against Ruqu, she refuses to tell anything about their talk. The thing though Jodha is that you are trying all this to stay away from Jalal and make him closer to Ruqu. But, this will only attract Jalal more as he sees the goodness in you and the evilness in Ruqu.
Jalal does not give up easily, does he? He brings the shenshah trump card out, but our Jodha is not ready to oblige yet. She surprises him by asking for the punishment instead. Jalal teases her by saying are you sure you can withstand my punishment. Jodha immediately remembers may be the flirty/naughty Jalal (ajeeb swar and sanse) and warns him of not asking anything that she would not be able to give. Ohhh Jodha, Jalal and all of the audience know it very well that you are not ready for the ratri vyatit. I loved Jalal's argument that if she is ready to commit a crime at odd hour, then she should ready for the punishment in odd hour - taaliyaan! Jodha gets completely engrossed in her song and Jalal is lost in the melody of the song. He candidly calls her the 'Mallika-e-hunar' and leaves. Jodha is left speechless, I feel she understands now that his praises have always been genuine. I think this honor of Jalal touched her.
Next day though, Jalal is back at his usual teasing self. You can tell the forum girls that didn't you drop the churi purposefully there, just so that you could pay her another visit? I liked this strategy as well of yours, just humla bol do Jodha pe. Keep paying her visits with all kinds of excuses till all her defenses fall off. He taunts her about his surprise that the two churis stayed in one room without any problems. She just glares at him and he changes the topic regarding her reading hobby. After the eye game they played in Amer during the wedding and Jodha failing to explain to Jalal via eyes, she has taken it up as a challenge. She is constantly trying to warn him via her eyes and he happily ignores every time. They have set a date to teach each other geeta and shahnama, hope you invite the forum girls also. Last time you did a night out and we didnt get to see or hear anything. Please invite us to your book knowledge exchange date.
Rahim is the little cupid of Akdha. Even during those times people celebrated birthdays, how nice for us. I was wondering about it and thought a historical show would not have birthdays. I am happy to be proven wrong. Jodha did not want Jalal to get into trouble again for celebrating her birthday. She knows that Jalal would make a huge deal of her birthday and does not want him to be attacked by maulvis or Ruuq. How caring Jodha? You seem to be worrying a lot about Jalal these days. I wonder what all Jalal is going to do to make her day special. I hope he takes her on a nauka vihar, this time she might be more pleasing.
I was so disappointed in Hamida when she let go of Jodha easily on that stupid test. Where I was predicting that she would ask Jodha to share a room, ask her to help with Jalal-nama, sare hot armano pe cold water daal diya. Ruqu and Jodha scene was very very intense. Even after Jalal told her that Jodha did not snatch her right, she questions Jodha about it. I was sad to see Ruqu not trust Jalal. He might not tell the whole truth, but he has never lied to her. I knew one day she would have to bear lot of pain and loneliness because of her unconstrained vainglory. Jalal has always treated Ruqu special and only desired her company. He will still treat her special, but the difference now is that he desires Jodha's company as well. The ego she has would not allow her to accept that Jalal could desire someone elses company. Jodha put her down with lot of dignity and grace. Ruqu had pretty much made Jodha feel cheap about her closeness with Jalal. She does not lose her temper one bit, but clarifies her intentions about not desiring Jalal. Does this bring any peace to Ruqu? Ofcourse not! The whole reason for her tilmilahat is not Jodha, its caused by Jalal paying attention to Jodha and not telling her the complete truth. According to me Ruqu went too far with her accusations on Jalal about him taking advantage and sleeping with Jodha in that stormy night. Just like he punished Jodha, he punishes Ruqu also by not clearing her doubts.
Precap: Mallika-e-khaas is all red with anger and green with jealousy, what a dangerous color combination. I wonder how Jalal will tackle her insecurities as this is only going to get worse. How patiently he tells her about how he had to wait for her. She is not buying anything though, wonder if Jalal would lose patience and yell at her. No matter what, I hope Jodha does not try to come and solve this problem between Ruqu/Jalal. This is something that Jalal has to deal with, period.
