As always you bring out the beauty of the episode with your words

Redwine, loved your answers, your grasp of the show and every aspect is amazing

The scene that stood out - Arnav's shock at seeing Khushi's tears.

It was as if he was surprised that she cares

It was as if till this moment he had no idea that Khushi has feelings for him

The love story of Khushi and Arnav is really about the losing battle of dimaag against dil

Arnav's dil - there is something in this girl

Arnav's dimaag - khatre ki ghanti

Dil - she is beautiful and sweet

Dimaag - she wants to trap you for your money

Dil - she is selfless and innocent and pure

Dimaag - she is mercenary

Dil - she fits so well in my arms, her eyes speak volumes, her lips are enchanting

Dimaag - granted she is honest and not the mercenary I mistook her for, but she wants to bring Lavanya and you together. Period.

Dil - when she cries, it hurts . I want to always see that impish smile on her face and wipe away every tear from her eyes, even if I have to bring Lavanya back.
She will surely see that I am doing this for her, as I put my around Lavanya, I want to see that heart stopping smile on Khushi's face, which will make all this worthwhile.

And ... What the.

Why is she crying...

Why does she look as if she has just lost something precious ...

As if her heart has been broken ...

Dare I hope ...

Dimaag - shut up, she is just doing her job, and I will prove it you. Usko koi faraq nahi padta hai!!!

And the battle continues

With dil growing stronger, dimaag losing slowly but surely

And then the terrace treachery of Shyam

And bam, dil is crushed ... Dimag wins ... But dil toh aakhir dil hai...

Arshics👏

This is sum up of IPK and ASR/Arnav...such a beautiful description.Indeed the war of Heart and Mind was the major attraction of his character.BUT why do I feel there was a same war in Khushi's head too...that's why she has this Rajkumar VS Shaitan image in her head.In her dreams he is Rajkumar and in the day light he is Shaitan...

Aag dono tarf hai barabar...that's why there are tears without her control...

Oh, he more than realized the heavy price for his Diwali undoings that day.. and he wasn't willing .. ready to pay that.. hence that pool side meeting.. Would he have married Khushi has she admitted to farq then? He would have certainly done some thing to stamp her his.. may be an announcement.. an engagement.. but certainly wouldn't have let her go this time... we could still have all the romantic track, like the Payash wedding, post their(hypothetical) engagement for him/ her to realize this is what LOVE is.. as one doesn't need to name a thing to realize that it is important for them.. is n't it? Many people may know that air is important for their survival without ever knowing the name of the essential component Oxygen!
So yes, after the heart break he faced hearing her engagement news, there was NO further holding back if he got a green signal from her!
Sorry for the very long response, thats how I saw the journey of this man towards love.

Horizon ... Very well written ... insightful piece of writing ... Love the ocean ... Tsunami analogy ...

The purpose of the Farak episodes ... What was he trying to achieve ??? Get her to scream ... Hai Farak padta hai ... But to what end ??? Right from the pool side convo ... And what if she had said yes ... Then what ??? Get her to admit to assuage his ego ??? Accha Farak padta hai ??? Good !!! And walk away ??? He has already done something similar at Diwali ... Led her down a rosy path and and then dump her high and dry ...

I don't believe he is still completely ready to give in completely ... to open up but he wants some conversation ... She has gone and gotten herself engaged ... Ji say Pyar nahin karti ... He knows she can't love the one who she is engaged to coz she loves him ... He uses words he used to run away from ... Pyar ... Zindigi bhar ... He wants some admission from her and then some way to tie her to him ... I believe he still would have struggled ... stumbled (After the bangles at the pool ... Still does not give in completely ... Until he is alone and has a moment to consider he had almost lost her, or so he thought ) Completely agree, Horizon, he would not have let her go ... And what does not letting her go mean ??? Can't have her agree to a live -in ... Maar nahin kahani hai usay ...😛 He knows it means zandigee bhar ka pavitar Rishta ... She is all or nothing girl ... He has seen her as his Biwi ... As his Dhulan several times ... I think he would have been willing to pay that price ...

He had walked away at the airport after her admission ... Believing her ... Holding one hand as he pried the other ... Taking a memento with him ...But at the pool side he has a baggage of a different kind ... One of his making ... Completely agree he that he is paying for his Diwali debacle ...

Now 87 ... I thought the whole conversation was centered around him and her, from his point of view ... Humaray beech aab kuch nahin hai ... Saab khatam hai ... It's over ... It's over ... It's over... Damn it !!! Is as much to himself as it is to her ... He is trying to convince himself ... Sab khatam hai ... Between him and Khushi ... She is paying games ... One minute she is his Dhulan ... and the next she is tying him to La ... He will not fall in this trap ... Time will heal this and I will move forward ... He couldn't give two hoots for poor La ... Other than his slight shock when Khushi tells him she is leaving for good ...

Anyway, mera bhi kuch lamba ho gaya ... Really enjoyed rambling ... 😊

Hola Horizon ..

Pls don't say sorry for a long post .. i will have to do that before each of my posts then .. also beware the penalty of a sorry on DC .. u have to OPEN DC on a day of a dull episode .. 😳

My ques was simple if she said FARAK PADTA HAI .. would he have MARRIED HER ... marking her as HIS .. he did that on the first day he met her .. BY PULLING HER CLOSE TO HIS HEART ... then tearing down the BARRIERS between them .. & later keeping a part of her for himself

Love this discussion ... would love to continue .. guys please feel free to jump right in with ur POV ..

Interesting Poona ...

Now just a thot i am sharing ... just to broaden the discussion ..

Could the need to hear "farak padta hai" be simply to get a reassurance HE WAS NOT ALONE IN THESE FEELINGS ... the tumult he was undergoing found a resonance in her ... He had SHOUTED 'Farak Padta hai" first ... he had LAID HIMSELF BARE ... would he not want to SEE HER BARE As well .. remember their entire COURTSHIP was a CHALLENGE .. a one upmanship ...

Hi Ruby, completely agree that their courtship was a duel ... And also completely agree that he wanted her to admit to what he knows she is feeling ... He reads it ... And she does nothing to acknowledge it, rather does the exact opposite of what she should be doing ...

But for me, this scene here is no courtship ... Here he is fighting ... For their survival ... He had just found out the girl he cannot breath without is engaged ... He wants her to tell him the truth ... It is amongst the few times he bares himself, says as clearly as a man of few words can. For me the emotions in this scene are similar to ... Khushi ... Tum asay Nahi ... When she is leaving for Lucknow ... Similar to when she tumbles out if his closet ... His three times Khushi ... Khushi ... Khushi ... Similar to kya kar rahi ho tum ...

If I were to continue with the orbital metaphor of their journey ... This is the closest he gets to the center ... This is as naked as he is going to get, at this stage ... There was not an insincere bone in his body when he leads her by his words ... He shows her a path to get to him ... Mesi sagai aaj ho ya ek saal baad ... Tumhay kuon Farak padta hai ...

To me the dueling... The challenge come after this ... Farak challenges are more about pining her to the wall ... Blocking every exit of her ... Making her face the truth at every step ...

My question really is once she would have admitted it ... What then ??? I honestly feel he is not doing it just to assuage his ego ... Or even just to hear it ... He wants these things of course ... But she is engaged ... What then ??? This is what he wants ... a signal from her to push ahead ... What that pushing ahead means ... May mean different things to different people ... I think he has seen her as his Dhulan ... He would have been ready ... Saat phera ya aath ... He couldn't care two hoots ... As long as he gets her ... Small price to pay for what he is getting in exchange ...

Even when he says on Payash wedding day ... Tum say baat karni hai ... That was not a profession of love ... He proposed to her with that bindi ... Marry me ... I know all his demos were slayed by then ... Different time ... But just a thought ...

Any way got to run to the asli duniya ...

Really enjoy hashing this ... 😛

Hey Ruby, I said sorry becos I knew I beat around the bush without really answering your question yday.:)
Yes, he marked her HIS that day itself but metaphorically, and has been exercising his Haq on her from Day1. But this time he would have marked her literally if she had admitted to farq, first ofcourse he would threw that engagement ring out of the orbit where it would NEVER see the light of the day again and then may even have slipped one becos if Khushi were to wear one it has to be HIS, without even realizing what he did,all he wants is tie her to him by hook or crook. But once he realizes what he did, he would have abided by it marriage what ever she/ every one wants to call it.
No, he wasn't looking for a challenge at that point at all. His heart was in pieces at that point. He almost felt like the day where he and his Di were left without a roof a their head. It happened all of a sudden and they/ he was robbed of everything even beore they/he realized.
It is THIS sincerity of Arnav Singh Raizada that moves one to the core. When he seeks , he seeks with his whole being, as if THIS is the Brahman!
