Random Q? Why did Vikram marry before Sooraj?

Out of nowhere, this question suddenly struck me. Why did Vikram Rathi marry before his elder brother? I've pretty much watched all the episodes & don't remember this being explained anywhere. Do any of you guys remember how it was explained away?

It was not explained what the reason was.

I first thought it must be love marriage but looks like it was arranged by Bhabho. Maybe after seeing Meena, Bhabho might have felt she would not fit her badi beendani criteria and got her married to Vikram.

DABH never explained why 😕, but since suraj is not real son of bhabho, so she might have thought to get her real elder son get married first. 🤪

vikram got married before, so then only sandy could marry suraj,🤣 otherwise she would have married vikram 😕.

i think they wanted a character to taunt sandy like bhabho. and meena helps sandy a lot by doing bad things at the right time.

one example because of meena only sandy went to bath in the river with suraj, when they were newly married, when the couple from the village came for holi festival.

seems like bhabo was searching for the best wife for suraj so make him wait...get vikram married early coz she needs an assistant in the kitchen asap and meena fit the criteria...

it's because suraj tends to sacrificed everything ..don't ask how come vik and mohit became father before suraj 😆

It hasn't been directly explained but there was an episode where there were insinuations about it (episode 13: 14th of September 2011).

After Kavita run away and Suraj's wedding got anulled, women in Hanuman Gali were making fun that Kavita rejected Suraj because she was educated while Suraj was not.

Bhabo gets really angry and says that she will get a girl for Suraj in 15 days, a girl which is more educated and from a better family than Kavita. A woman said to Bhabo not to promise such thing. If it was that easy to get a girl for Suraj, Bhabo didn't need to marry Vikram first.

So, apperantly, one of the reasons seems to be that it was difficult to get a good match for Suraj (due to his low status as a halwai) so Vikram had to get married ... as the years were passing by.

Now, I know that Mohit and Chavi got a higher education but I don't know about Vikram's education. He must have finished 12th grade, perhaps?? Was, probably, Vikram's status of business man (selling sarees) seen as better than being a halwai???? Or it was the fact that Bhabo wanted a better match for Suraj than a Meena "type" kind of (more classes and better family status than Meena's )...is all up to our interpretation!

Something tell me that Bhabo wanted Meena for Suraj at first, but Knowing Suraj is a Halwa, Meena and her parents wanted the Sari seller instead and manipulated their way towards Vikram. Suraj on the other hand supported the idea is Meena and Vikram since he knows she doesnt love him and he doesnt like her either...and talked to Bhabo.

Because we all know that Bhabo would not go look for a wife for Vick when the first child is not married yet.
She if she knew Meena is this bad, she wouldnt have agreed for the marriage in the first place.

So I think its all part Suraj sacrifice.

Thanks for the episode reference! Nice catch! That indeed seems to the case.

On a tangential note, I was just rewatching the earlier episodes & what an improvement there is in Bhabo's performance now. The written dialogue's, acting, music everything has improved so much for the better now.
