Cupid strikes Kusumscheming Kalika is Kumuds bhabhi!!

Yes folks, to tweak the interest of viewers, the drama quotient is going to soar on Star Plus' popular show Saraswatichandra! Get ready for some unexpected twists and turns!

Cupid strikes Kusum
Kumud is finally going to be free from the clutches of her wicked husband Pramad! After acquiring the land plot for the high school Pramad accepts defeat and signs on the papers of divorce. However, not one to take let go off his enemies that easily, Pramad hires baddies to attack and kill Kumud but they kidnap Kusum thinking she is Kumud! Saras once again plays the gallant hero and rescues Kusum from the hoodlums. After Saras' knight in shining act cupid strikes Kusum and she falls hopelessly in love with him. Kusum is aware that her love is unrequited coz Saras has eyes only for her elder sis, but the lass has no control over emotions. Moms are perceptive and soon Guniyal realizes that her younger daughter has a soft corner for Saras. Knowing full well that Kusum's future will be doomed if she continues to harbor feelings for Saras, Guniyal advises her to get married. A marriage proposal comes for Kusum but the proposed groom is an old man of 55 years. Upset with the proposal Kumud wows to find a better groom for her.

Family deserts Pramad
On learning that Pramad had executed Kusum's kidnapping plan,Buddhidhan and Saubhagyadevi become frustrated with his criminal leanings. They transfer the property in his name and leave him to fend for himself. Initially Pramad is happy on becoming the master of the house but soon the novelty wears off and the desolation gets to him. He also meets up with Kumud and tells her about his plight but she is furious and asks him to leave.

Saras wants to start life afresh with Kumud
Passion and love for Kumud once again begin to stir in Saras' heart. He discloses his innermost feelings to Dugba (Kumud's aunt) and informs her that he intends to take care of Kumud for life. An eves dropping Kumud is elated but her joy is short-lived when she mulls over Pramad. She doesn't want the ugliness of her past to cast a shadow on Saras' life so starts maintaining a distance from him. A confounded Saras wonders aloud about her changed attitude and inconsolable Kumud informs him that she cannot start a new life with him. She gives went to her frustrations by hurling the kandeels put around her room as part of Diwali decorations. Seeing a broken Kumud weeping profusely Saras grabs her tightly and the duo share a tender moment together.

Kumud to be a free bird
After the turmoil Kumud has gone through at the hands of her sadistic husband it's time for rejoicing! Kumud will soon be a free bird as her divorce from Pramad will come through very soon.

Yash marries Kalika
Now for some unexpected twist! Kumud's cousin Yash tells his mom that he has found his soulmate and wants to marry her. Though his mom has reservations about the alliance, the other family members, especially Kumud convince her that if he is happy with girl of his choice then its best to give the couple their blessings. Yash comes home with wifey dearest in tow. Draped in bridal finery, the lady kicks the kalash and enters the house. After the ceremonial rituals of welcoming the new bride, the entire household is desperate to get a glimpse of the bahu. Yash asks Kumud to do the mu dikhai ki rasam. Kumud lifts the brides ghunghat and all smiles freeze... the dulhan is none other than the conniving Kalika. Everyone is shell shocked... and Kalika smiles triumphantly!
