'Saif is intelligent, Katrina has evolved as an actress': Kabir Khan

Katrina Kaif has teamed up once again withdirector Kabir Khan after New York (2009) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). The two, along withSaif Ali Khan, have started shooting forproducer Sajid Nadiadwala's Phantom(working title). An action-drama that focuses on the lesser-known aspects of sub-continental politics, this thriller is based on author Hussain Zaidi's book that is yet to be launched.

For Kabir, working with the two actors is exciting. "Saif is a superstar and a good actor. He's intelligent and well-read; he'd also research international affairs. That's very good for the film as the story moves from Beirut to the US to Kashmir and Punjab," he says, adding, "Katrina has evolved as an actress since our first film together. She suits the character in Phantom perfectly."
As for his association with Nadiadwala, the director says, "I was looking for a producer who would back a film of this scale. Sajid has the ability and vision to ensure that there's no compromise on the storytelling." Sajid adds, "We are pleased to work with Saif, Katrina and Kabir together for the first time."
Phantom is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd and co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures.
