Tough days are ahead for Sandiip

It was a rather sad week for Sony chief creative director Sandiip Sikcand. A rumour that caught on like wild fire said he has been sacked by Sony Television because of poor TRPs and literally no viewership for prime time soaps like Kulvaddhu, Durgesh Nandini, Kaajjal etc. He was apparently hired by Sony with a FAT pay packet but tough targets were set. And Sickand couldn't meet those targets. Another rumour was about how he has been directed by the Bombay High Court to vacate his house because the house he's presently living in, with his mother, is in the name of his grandmother. His grandmother had approached the court saying she has been physically and mentally tortured by them. When Sandiip was asked to comment on this, he snapped back, "The media should mind its own business and not interfere in anybody's personal life. They should do something meaningful which will benefit the society." And till now Sandiip loved publicity! Guess he is media savvy as long as only positive things are written about him! (Sampurn)

i m really feeing sorry for sandeep..when he joined the channel the trps were already down..so he should b given time to re-establish the channel...hopefully they will sort out the matter and the serials should not suffer because of this on-going spat between sandeep and the channel..

Media has always been nosy. I feel that everybody's private space should be respected. They should steer clear of every celebrity's private life. Yes professionally they can dig for any amount of inofrmation.

ther must be some truth to it.watever he is he its just coz of
balaji.he left them just because he was getting good amt from
sony.wat else can be the reason for his changing loyalities.now
his grandmom.i cant comment on that but there is no smoke
without fire.i hope a good descision is take by the court and
punishment shud be given to he person responsible.

I hope sony trps get better.

Somehow the soaps are not as melodramatic as the star and zee ones!!

No I think the soaps are quite melodramatic, it is the question of getting good stars. Apurva, Surveen are among the known stars that are there at Sony. People also do have a hangup about Ekta. They hate what she dishes out but continue to getting hooked to her shows. If they get free of her the TRP's will automatically rise for the other channels which are not Ekta dominated.

I am proud to say that I have freed myself from the Ekta syndrome. Now I donot watch any of her serials or shows.

Yes I agree.Sony shows are pretty nice over th other channel ones.I mean they are different!

And yes other than Apurva surveen and Renuka no show has famous stars
