OS-STANDING ON THE ICE
It had been two months now and the quietness of the Kundra mansion stood frozen and as thick as ice.The inmates had got accustomed to two emotions, the feeling of loneliness and guilt. Rk watched the news and panicked instantly after hearing the news about an accident in the sets of Horizon...
Horizon was where Madhu was shooting her new film. He yelled for Bittuji
Rk-"Bittuji ..." All inmates of the house came in running...Radha, Pabbo and Bittu
Pa-"What, what Happened Rishab?"
Rk-"Ma. Madhu" he stammered and pointed to news...
Pabbo and Radha looked stunned when they heard footsteps. They turned to look at Madhu who came walking in talking with someone on the phone.Roma was talking to somebody.
Rk-"Madhu are you okay? What happened in the sets?"
As usual he only got a silent look from her like for the past two months. She had never spoken to him not anyone else. Madhu just walked up to her room and closed the room.
Things have been like this ever after the attack by Kuku and Amar. Rk had been stabbed by Madhu ...it had been an accident, no one had believed it until to late and the Madhu they knew had died. She had undergone all their taunting, sidekicks, hatred abuses and it had ultimately killed her.
The next week after Kuku and Amar were arrested,Radha,Pabbo and Rk had rushed home to apologize to Madhu but it had been late Madhubala they knew had died...She had totally gone numb...She hardly spoke to anyone ...She completed Rk's film and to Pabho's shock brought fame and popularity to Rk and Madhu as well. Madhu however had become workaholic. She had become a machine, signing up for films, shooting, parties etc.
No matter how much they spoke or tried to speak, Madhu stayed numb and unfeeling.
Madhu paced from one end to another reading the script, memorizing them, when she felt someone beside her...
Madhu gazed back into the dark pools of her husband's eyes which had sadness and pain in abundance. Rk raised his hand and cupped her face. As Madhu tried to move back away from his strong grip on her left arm.
Rk-"Why Madhu/?Why are you hiding your pain when it is burning you alive? Let it all out...Shout,scream,cry,get angry but express yourself. Please .."
Radha came forward and said-"Madhu I know I have no rights to say anything to you,not after what I said that day...but please let it out...Dont punish yourself because of us..."
Madhu-"Why should I punish myself for those who are not worth it? I made a mistake ,by coming back here whenRk proposed me after the heart break he gave,I am sorry for making him a human"turning to Radha"Oh I am sorry for trying to mend things between a mother and a son". I made a blunder in accepting to sign the film just for Rk the person who I wish to destroy .right Pabbo?"Even as she spoke the decibel of her tone increased drastically.
At the end Madhu looked furious with red watering eyes and she began to gasp for air frantically.Rk moved to help her,so did Pabbo but halted when she shouted-"Don't you dare try..."
At that instant a very good looking guy came running in,he wrapped his hands around her to hug her and Madhu began to calm down slowely.The guy made Madhu sit down and soothed her whispering something...
Madhu-"Why is it always me Ammy?"Armaan her doctor looked lost...
It was that moment that the Kundra's realized that their relationship with Madhu was STANDING ON THIN ICE...
