Chennai Express 206 Cr In Four Weeks Madras Cafe 41 Cr In Two Weeks

Chennai Express has taken its total to 206 crore nett in for weeks and is likely to add another 2 crore nett to have an approx finish of 208 crore nett. The figures have beaten the previous record holder 3 Idiots by around 3%. The distributor share of the film will be 115 crore which will be 8.50 crore better than the previous record holder Ek Tha Tiger.

Madras Cafe collected around 8.25 crore nett in week two taking its total to 41 crore nett. The film will finish just a bit higher than Vicky Donor, a film from the same team released last year but with much lower costs than Madras Cafe. The four big films in August are set to finish with following totals.

Chennai Express - 208 crore

Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara! - 60 crore

Madras Cafe - 44 crore

Satyagraha 58-60 crore

Madras Cafe Second Week Collection.

Madras Cafe has collected around 9.17 crore nett in its 2nd week. Film registered a drop of around 73% from the last week. Film total collection now stands at 42.67 crore nett. Film collection badly got affected by the release of Satyagraha.

Madras Cafe lifetime collection will touch or cross 45 crore nett. But film has now little or no chance of touching 50 crore nett. Film will be an above average product at the box office. Makers will manage to recover their cost when non-theatrical revenues are taken into count. They might make some kind of profit also. Distributors will be in red or at most break even.

Collection Breakup -

1st Week - 33.53 crore nett.

2nd Week - 9.14 crore nett

Total - 42.67 crore nett.

I am really surprised at the movies John is producing. Didnt realize there was more to him than a hot bod. It was a good movie - watched it after CE and it brought me straight back to reality.

Yayy today was WTP of Madras Cafe, Diwali afternoon with John and family! Loved to watch it again. ❤️
And the response on twitter is overwhelming too as it was during release!
Missing him already :(
