I know no new thread is allowed on KT's rape but my take is completely different. I think rape should not be made so dramatic. It should not be made a stigma or shown as a huge unbearable trauma.. Yes rapes happen but there is no need to make that out to be the end of the world. In fact, psychiatrists say that rape victims should be encouraged to be absolutely normal. Rape happened to my friend's young daughter some years ago. The young girl immediately thought she had been sullied and started talking to her parents in Hindi fiilm language -- No body will marry me, I'm not fit for anybody's love etc.Thank God, her parents gave her correct counselling. They told her it was not her fault, she need not blame herself for it, she hasn't been sullied -- and indeed she should treat it as an accident and forget it. At the same time, the parents pursued the case in court and brought the culprit to book. The sensitivity with which her parents handled the girl was a lesson for me. The girl took her high school exams -- days after the rape -- and came second. And today she bears no scars. So, please, please , please don't make it so melodramatic and say this is the worst trauma any girl can face. KT wants to commit suicide. This is typical "I'm sullied, I'm not fit for anybody" Hindi film stuff. I think this forum should be rational and sensitive and not purvey regressive ideas. Thanks.

I loved your point of view. Yeah I dont think rape should be the end of the world. Infact the saying what doesnt break us only should make us stronger. Yeah KT is under shock, but she should pick herself up and get justice. Life goes on, so many horrible things are happening around the world, it takes an very broad minded person to forget the current pain and think beyond the stigma that somehow you are ruined. 😃 😃

Yeah KT trying to kill herself, that is more disturbing to see than the rape. Ekta has showed rape, she should show a strong KT cleaning herself up and trying to first remember what exactly happen, before the blame goes on the wrong person. That would have been more cool to watch. For once I want to see a girl think beyond the usual stigma, Nands was too like I am ruined I cant do pooja anymore that was just sad to hear. I would have loved to see a more determined KT, more clever and confident.

First of all I really agree with vidy2002. Your viewpoint is admirable. 👏 I just saw todays episode. When KT is driving herself towards death, she is only thinking about her baa and Lakshya. She is not even thinking about what would happen to her. In my opinion it shows her strenght as a daughter and as a caring person who does not want to become the reason of the disturbance in SN (even though it is already so disturbed for so many years). Her reaction of being quiet and getting away from everyone is very natural considering the background she comes from. But I am sure her character is going to emerge as a winner since she is the daughter of (raised by) Tulsi. 😊

Thanks for agreeing with me. The pity is posts like this are shoved down and treated as unimportant. It is not a hot topic -- who decides that I don't know!!!! What gets prominence and runs into pages and pages is the usual, let's cry buckets, regressive stuff. And if anyone makes a serious new post they are warned off and the topic is closed. I agree rubbishy posts should be closed. But others? How can we have censorship on a democratic forum?
