Vipul Mehta, the original scriptwriter of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is back on the show. Despite this Anil Nagpal, who has been handling the script of Kyunki for the past four years, isn't too perturbed. Instead he says, "Working with Vipul is fabulous. It is an added advantage to the show since Vipul is working on the humourous part."
Denying any feeling of animosity between the two Anil says, "Ekta reads screenplay everyday and we ultimately accept what she decides. She is aware of the writing culture of Balaji and we all are here to produce our best so I don't have any issues working with anyone. If Balaji wasn't satisfied with my work, I don't think I would have been on the show for so long."
He also denies that the serial was lacking when it came to human to human relationship. "The tracks between Karan-Tulsi, Karan-Nandini and even Karan-Bhoomi had plenty of emotional bonding and drama", says Anil.
"For seven years the serial has been doing very well which is evident from the TRPs", adds Anil. He further points out that, "Kyunki... is not like a Sarabhai, Khichadi or Baa Bahu Aur Baby. It is fictional, emotional drama and humour is like a "tadka" to the show. Depending on how it works out, we will decide whether to we should continue with it or not."
Meanwhile, speaking about the modus operandi of work Vipul Mehta says, "Anil writes the entire screenplay following which me and Nivedita read it and suggest changes to him. I work on Daksha's part. We were trying to get back Daksha for more than three years and are happy that she is finally back in Kyunki and with her, the witty angle of the serial."
Anil also accepts that Vipul has got mastery in humour and gujju culture as he is himself is a gujju. "I have won awards for this show and have great command over drama and emotions. I too can do the humour bit. However since I am not a Gujarati, I can't handle traditional and cultural part of it."
