I'm not sure...correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't she only in America for 6-9 months?...usually people don't up accents that quick...and It does sound kinda fake...but whatever...I actually like the way she talks...she is so confident and outgoing!

She has a huge pimple on her cheek, yet she still went on the show. Awesome!

She moved to America when she was 13 and lived there for 3 years (wiki). Which is not enough time to develop an accent.

^^^thats why it still sounds indian. its a mix, u know?? she doesnt sound outright american. but its there and i think its real.

Yup definitely not an American accent, Indians in India speak English really well and she is no exception. She pronounces some words with an American accent so it is a mix. I wouldn't say she is trying hard, in fact her accent doesn't come across as fake as say Sonam's or Aishwariya's or Malaika Sherawat's. I don't cringe when PC talks.
