As much as I dislike ALL the contestants and presently rooting for no one I couldn't help but notice the patriarchal and societal pressure being instilled upon Tanisha. It seems she has to live with her choices and always weigh in on the consequences essentially becoming a victim of their own success.
It is a pity that going in 21st century our country is still shackled with so called morals and values where individuality and freedom of life, liberty, and happiness ceases to exist and time and time again this is reiterated to her by contestants, and the host regarding her family.

In your opinion is it really fair (regardless of how you feel about her) that she has to carry around with this burden?

Well, all the others are here in Big Fraud because of their own merits, however big or small. Tanisha is the only one who was introduced as a girl of so & so family where she's is so & so's sister, daughter, niece, cousin, grandaughter, sis-in-law etc etc. The host had no words to describe her as a person. She in big fraud house has always mentioned about how she resides with successful secure people, not a word about how she is. She & Biased Khan make sure to remind the co-contestants from what a prestigious house she comes from. She couldnt speak a line describing which # she should be on per her merits(the task where they were suppose to # themselves per their achievements where she was # 5 or 6) . She couldnt meet the eyes of other H.M when describing her achievements.

When the other housemates behave badly they know their image is ruined outside. That their audiences will stop loving them. They talk about it all the time. Ke hum bahar jakar kya munh dikhayengey apnee audiences ko.

Tanisha has always thrown her weight around on the basis of her family's prestige. So clearly she has to worry about not runing their image. Since she has been acting all hoity doity because of their achievements & none of her own. So if she plays bad obviously they get hurt, their name that they have made through their hard work gets impacted. So yes, her playing foul impacts Mukherjees & Devgans (Kajol & Ajay). She has her perks & rights that others dont have in that house, quiet high ones i must say because of the family names associated wither her. Now, with rights come responsibilities & burdens. So yes, per me its very much justified.

Very well written and I agree to pretty much everything you have said but that would mean she need to make certain sacrifices in her life just so that it could fit her or her familys barometer.

I think you brought up a great point. I think the pressure on her is tremendous because when practically everyone in her family is so famous and successful, the level that she is gauged at automatically shoots up. Like when she started acting, she bore the brunt because she was not as good as Kajol. If she was not compared to these people and judged on her on merit, the story would be different.
I think the issue is with our society in general which compares and judges people based on their family and background. The person's individuality chali jaati hai tel lene lol.
On the plus side, being from a famous family does come with its perks. Would she have done 13 films if she was a non filmi person? And now that her acting career is over, she can still produce/direct and find other ways to make money off films.

I think Tanishaa is an awesome person .. Her last name doesn't mean much to me..I don't think it's fair to judge some one by their last name be it positive or negative .. I feel ppl who watch BB should judge her by what u see on screen .. If u like her fine .. If u don't that's fine too..but she shouldn't have to carry the burden of her family name all the time.. Let her chill and unwind.. Have some fun in BB.. I really thought she was enjoying her self and the game up untill last week..
