We all loved the character dheela scene of Ipk - one of the iconic scenes
But was her accusation really justified?Was he really character dheela?Most importantly did Khushi really believe so herself?Did she not trust him immensely?Did she not feel completely safe in his company?Did she not instinctively turn to him for safety and comfort?The decency and respect with which he always turned away when her dupatta fell offDuring all their almost kiss, almost sr scenes, the way he gave her the space to say noThe always aggressive and overbearing Arnav was always surprisingly gentle and tread slowly whenit came to raising the level of intimacy between them.And her comfort and willingness was of utmost importance to him.Remember the scene where he switches off lights because of her shyness!This character dheela man was a man of integrity and honor and a man whoBeneath his harsh exterior and under all that disrespectHe was a man who had a lot of respect for women in generalAnd Khushi in particularRemember this oopar se hard par andar se softNariyal Singh RaizadaAnd Njoy!!!

Even with him clearly having a live in girlfriend ... And I loved all the virginity discussions ... There was never any question of his being a philanderer ... His relationship with just La tells us enough about his Character ... He is committed ... No in the life long shadi type of commitment ... But in fidelity and respect ... Had Khushi not shown up in his life ... Makes you wonder ... What would have become of la and him ... I think he would have continued ... And been together status co ... Anyway I am digressing ... You are right so so many incidents where he averts his eyes ... Breaks down the door ... Carries her home when she is in dead faint ... Tends to her when she is sick ... Never once does she feel dirty or violated by his intense stares ...
He is true to himself ... When he did not want to marry ... He had a girlfriend who knew the score ... With Khushi ... Inspite of the pearls ... Inspite of forceful manhandling ... There is still a sense that he himself is shocked at his own self ... And when he did want to make love to Khushi ... He gives her all the time in the world ... Inspite of his dictate ... Kal humara suhag raat hai ... I think he thinks she is ready and just needs to be led ... Love the hut scene ... Dims the lights ... Sapno ki duniya here I come ...
