The episode starts of with Gunjan challenging Lajjo with the Rangoli making, if Lajjo can't do it she will have her hair cut by Gunjan just like Barkha. Lajjo puts a condition that if she wins Gunjan has to teach her the "English type' dance just like the other day at Ayesha's Sangeet party. She tries to do some steps much to the amusement of Rishi and Gunjan.
The next scene Lajjo is making a huge colourful Rangoli. When she finishes Gunjan comes and is shocked that Lajjo can make such a beautiful Rangoli, she says that Lajjo has won the challenge and now she will have to teach her the dance..Before leaving she praises Lajjo's mother and remarks that her mother would be so proud of her daughter. Gunjan leaves to do some work and Lajjo gets emotional.
At the same time Barkha, Nani and Ayesha arrive from out, before entering the house Barkha accidentally steps on the Rangoli and spoils it. Lajjo is disappointed and asks to be careful with the Rangoli. Barkha calls Shyla and asks her where is the other lady who was to come, to which Shyla replies that she has dengue and couldn't come. Barkha doesn't like that Lajjo is making Rangoli. Nani lets her do it and takes Barkha inside with a sly smile. Ayesha while entering tries to spill the yellow powder but Lajjo stops her at the correct time.
In Barkha's room Nani was saying that Lajjo should do all this as this is her first Diwali and because she has seen the love for Nikhil in her eyes. She says this will make it difficult for her leave the house as she won't leave her husband, Nani cleverly says that we all know that Nikhil doesn't like celebrating Diwali so in that process Lajjo will get her heart broken.
At Ishaana's place Kunal enters her room they have a conversation about the other day and apologizes to her. Ishaana forgives him and he complements her on her looks.
Nikhil has a flashback scene of how he spent Diwali with Ishaana they share a romantic moment. Cut to present Lajjo comes and wishes him Diwali, she brought a traditional mud structure and says that it is celebrated with a competition in Sonbarsa. They light a Diya and Lajjo asked for a one coin, they share a cute moment and they pray together even with Nikhil insisting that he doesn't believe in all this.
Lajjo expresses her surprise to Gunjan about how no one will do Puja on Diwali but instead will go to a party. She drags Gunjan to the temple and starts he Aarti, Inder joins in and soon Nani, Barkha and Ayesha join in looking all shocked. After the Puja Inder blesses her while Ayesha says that she doesn't believe in all this.
In the drawing room everyone is getting ready to go when Rishi arrives with a box full of crackers. Barkha taunts Nikhil that he should celebrate with crackers with Lajjo. Nikhil refuses that he won't play with crackers.
Precap - Ishaana comes and sees Lajjo applying medicine on Nikhil's hand.
