If you watch soaps anywhere in the world you have to abandon logic ...if you are looking for any continuity in story or characters then just give up :( It happens everywhere ..American soaps are as bad . I remember investing a lot of valuable time on Santa Barbara and Bold and Beautiful ...only to be absolutely disillusioned and resort to abandoning the shows :( Now I refuse to watch shows depicting a foreign culture ..they disconnect our people from our own rich heritage ...esp the youth :( The only ones that maintain a story line and ensure reality are the marvelous serials from Pakistan which I spend a great deal of time watching when depressed with shows here ...like now for sure :(
Something needs to be done on a war footing ...a mix of both ...the unlimited sagas that make a mockery of reason as they meander aimlessly with an eye on TRPs and other such factors ... as well as close ended serials that end when the story does . This is the call of the day and we need to address the issue seriously as television is a powerful medium of entertainment and we all require those few hours of relaxation with the family after a hard day at work .

It is extremely painful ...as can be seen from reactions to the sudden illogical twists in the favourite show of the members of this forum. All was going smoothly ...in fact I began watching QH as the genre was distinctive ..it was really great to see a serial with a difference depicting Muslim culture ..brought back memories of those halcyon days of my youth when we watched films like Mere Mehboob , Chaudivin ka Chand , Saheb, Bibi aur Ghulam, Pakeezah, among many others ! Of late every time there was a Muslim presence on screen it was linked to terrorism ...and that is not the ground reality ! The culture is deeply rooted in our psyche and it enriches our heritage . So it was a positive step taken by the PH to deviate from the normal saas bahu sagas that are rampant on ITV ..this was certainly a show with a difference . I liked the double track with KV and SM as the two distinctive epicenters .In fact I thought this was a masterstroke !!! We had a modern , progressive family that had struggled against all odds to make it big in life and for those who are fed on melodrama there was the typical joint family syndrome @ SM . Viewers had the choice to use their remotes and watch what appealed to them . Most certainly it was the fizz in KV that attracted most to QH !So it is inevitable that by putting a lock outside the door of KV the PH has done grave injustice to QH , its viewers and most of all to themselves !

WE do not know the reasons behind these unreasonable tracks so there is no point in speculation I guess .It is a further waste of time ..we have already lost all the time we invested on QH !

Just sharing a thought ..have been reading some posts on symbolism used by GK in QH !
The thorn removing symbolism shown was meant to be a sign that it would be Asad who would take Zoya away from SM ...but nothing of the kind seems to be happening ...he is totally out of the picture and Zoya does not seem to be feeling that being in SM is indeed a thorn anymore ! She is as chirpy as she was in KV !

Badi Bi seems to have replaced her beloved Dilshad ..she is ready to do a lot j for Badi Bi now ...and sharing close encounters with Ayaan now that were reserved only for MR Khan earlier :(

So I thought of another symbol ...the lock outside KV when Zoya goes there wiith her suitcase ..is this a sign for the future ...that KV is now out for Zoya ?

But where will we go ? Those of us who were regular at KV ?

Brilliant Mamta! You have voiced our thoughts so very lucidly ! The fizz has gone from Qubool Hai without KV more importantly Karan Singh Grover and Shalini Kapoor! Now there is no difference whether you watch any of the other serials or Qubool Hai! Even a Surbhi Jyoti aka Zoya or a Nehalakshmi Iyer aka Najma seem so ordinary without the aura of KV and the two towering personalities and powerful actors namely Karan Singh Grover and Shalini Kapoor!

@ ranz true :)
Miss Asad with his layered persona ...strict , firm exterior concealing a soft , caring and sensitive core . Karan understood the character as only he can ...and the beauty was that it was such a far cry from his personification of our beloved Armaan . He is an actor beyond compare and every one is missing him tremendously .

Dilshaad was all grace and charm ..the ideal mother to have brought up a fine son like Asad . Here too Shalini was doing an excellent job . Her interpretation was so praiseworthy that the mother / son scenes were some of the best in QH . They brought such warmth to KV .

For me they were like a lode star pulling me to QH ...as a mother of a son there was a lump in my heart ever time I watched Asad and Dilshad on screen .Then the banter with Tamatar was reminiscent of similiar fun between my kids !!!

And this is the magic of a good serial ...each one of us ...whatever our ages ...finds a connection with some character on screen ..compelling us to leave every thing else when the time comes for the telecast . QH was such a magnet primarily because of Asad's towering personality and the warmth of Dilshad and the joi de viverie of the Khan household ...mother, son ,daughter and the fizzy Zoya !

Now the scenario has changed so drastically and it seems impossible to identify with the people of SM ...I am surprised that Zoya can !!!!
The worst part is the replacement of KV by the QMH which seems to slowly assuming spooky dimensions ...something most of us could avoid watching :(

Kyun log apne hi pairon par kulahdi marte hain ? Aur hamara dil todte hain !!!!

Very true. I just hugely dislike QH now and like Pakistani drama. Love hums afar, zindagi gulzaar hai and ashq. Like fawd khan. Now watching Numm although it is not very good like rest of fawd khan drama. Running out of good Pakistani drama hoping QH becomes worth watching soon.

@ Saathfan ,
Even the not so good are better than what we are reduced to watching here :( Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar hai were really good . The tragedy is that not only do we not want to make serials with a distinct story line, we destroy any that we may adapt from classics made in Pakistan. A recent case in point was the reckless destruction of Dhoop Kinare ...a tragedy that left many in tears as the show progressed .

We do not even learn from these errors so smug are those in power ! Viewers like us who are following a story and expecting it to progress logically are the last priority it seems ! There was a comment in a forum a few days back which said that viewers active on social media may have rejected the current twist in QH ...I felt it was a subtle hint that we do not count ...the masses are lapping it up
any ways !

Serials on ITV are the opium of the masses !

If the purpose of Qubool Hai is to show :

The contrast between a progressive mindset and a regressive one, it is an excellent narrative built around two families with blood ties via the Father and the bond of love between the two sons ...yet they are torn apart by desertion and intrigue !!

The way these two families will ultimately unite with the entry of a girl in their lives ...first attracted to the modern household @KV where she falls hopelessly in love with AAK and he too is totally committed, against his better judgement . A bond is cemented ..fevicol bond !!! He promises her that he will fulfill her mission to find her father .

Cut to current track where the CV/ PH are moving ahead to the next stage ...where Zoya enters SM with Asad initially pushing her into it .
After the initial reluctance and anger she is gradually torn between the two ...love vs duty ...the eternal question ! This is where the narrative has reached right now .

Ultimately love will conquer every thing for sure ..love between the young lovers looking ahead to the future , enduring love between Rashid and Dilshad that has stood the test of time , sibling love that proves that blood is always thicker than water !!!

In the process characters will grow ...Asya's love will be more responsible and mature. Zoya and Ayaan will learn to temper their urge for instant enthusiasm and childishness ...often leading to reckless actions . Asad will be the catalyst ! That is what the image of a strong Asad between a startled Zoya and Ayaan depicts ! He will definitely lead them to the climax as mature individuals. In the process he will fulfill his promise to unite Zoya with her father ..unknowingly but for sure as he is the one who takes her to SM initially .The nikkah between Asad and Zoya will happen ultimately the right way ..with Zoya leaving her father's house as Asad's bride ! There will be a long Zoyaan track but they will never be attracted to each other ...that is certain .Both have firm commitments of heart elsewhere ...they know it for sure but Asad and Humeira will be torn with jealousy may be !

A long battle lies ahead and we have a lot to look forward to for sure !

What rattles the addicts is the execution ..we understand the narrative , we understand that there are factors beyond our ken that control the presentation .We have just one request ...maintain reality and reduce the melodrama ...please .

It will make QH a game changer show on ITV !

agree with your views..loved your view..loved QH to the core until they destroyed it with their god forsaken awful love triangle..loath it..they could have gone with a much better track towards Zoya's dad etc..i am doubtful that QH would be able to cover much ground with its current track..just my two cents..
