He saw her pin her hairs behind her lobe, sipping coffee, concentrating in a magazine. And it amazed him more, is this how she spend her holidays? He shoved his hands up in air, thanking his almighty for ruining his plans.
After numerous tries, finally their Boss has organized this Official trip to Goa, giving all his colleagues few days to loosen up. And Rey had fully planned about this trip, about different games to be played in Bus, about the several events they will attend in Goa, And most importantly to interact with her.
She was a hard nut to crack, a girl so much disciplined. He does appreciate her hard work and dedication towards work, But there is a life out from those thick bundle of files. It was now almost a year since they started working together in the same company and luckily were in same department, adjacent tables. Was he lucky? No! She would rarely give a Damn to him. As simple as it seemed, she is not interested in him, really? He rubbed his temple, placing his lemon juice on table roughly, making her pop up suddenly out from that magazine.
"Are we going to stay inside for whole Day?" He asked her.
"Umm...You want to go out... Then go ahead..."She replied in her colorless tone, again submerging into magazine.
"C'mon Kria... This is our Holiday... See all our friends are enjoying...And we are here..." He said, his fingers fidgeting with straw.
"Okay Cry Baby..." She said finally putting magazine down.
Definitely it was hard to resist his charm with him being around all the time. And she was proud to be able to resist his charm from a complete year. But now it was getting difficult for her. He considers her just as a friend, Don't he? In the Office, they both were supposedly only support of each other. He was absolutely amazing at his work and at looks also, moreover he had been with her in all the times... she just didn't wanted to lose him. So she masked her feeling...And now on this trip, she was afraid. From past few weeks, she had noticed a change in him and it was utterly confusing. She let out a deep sigh, before getting up from her seat.
"Let's join our friends out there..."She said pointing towards the beach.
"Better than sitting here and staring at the magazine cover..."He spoke out, standing up from his seat, running hands through his hairs.
They joined their friends, who were having chit-chat at an open roof caf near the beach. The Day was vibrant, ad he had few things in mind like how to spend his day with her and etc. But now everything was slipping out from his control like loose sand. This was the worst decision to join their friends, knowing that they won't be spared for even a single minute alone. And it came out to be true, the talk were filled of Bitching- of Boss and other colleagues, discussing about funny moments. He needed to slip out from there, But how?
He looked at Kria, who was equally bored and exhausted from those boring talks, he signaled her to excuse out from there.
She heard the bells chime, was he signaling her to...accompany him? Wasn't it safe here, among everyone? She ignored him, to which he elbowed her harder giving a serious look.
"Guys... I think we should get something? Feeling hungry anyone?" She said in response.
"Yes... We should... Let's have something exotic..." He said immediately, giving a devilish smirk to her...
What is running in his dirty mind now? She gave a thought.
They finally landed on the beach, getting a far-away view of their Office mates having nice time at evening snacks.
"Reyaansh, you are mad..." She said laughing her heart out. He was somewhere lost in her beauty, her face shining in Yellow-orange light of diving sun, her hairs playing with oceanic streams.
"Yes I am..." He said in a blurry tone, unnoticeable to his own ears.
Hearing him say that she looked at him with seriousness... gazing in her brown orbs, his shining face which was sculpted out from the rays of sun. Sensing what she was actually doing, she changed her direction...looking towards the sun...feeling the wave pass through their feet.
"Isn't it beautiful...?" He spoke out huskily, looking at the diving sun and then tracing his gaze on her.
"Is it..." She said with a pink shade caressing her cheeks, wondering what was making her blush when he hasn't compliment her, Eh.
"Kria...Come I will show you something..."He said, taking her delicate hand in his palms, leading her into water.
"What are you doing Rey...?" She shouted when water reached till her stomach.
"Aren't you enjoying this?" He said throwing water on her.
"Urgh..You have surely lost it Reyaansh!" She hissed through her clenched teeth, throwing water on him too.
"You know me so well..."He answered back immediately.
"And it's because...we are..." She paused, looking in his dark brown eyes. "Good friends..." She added fighting with her own conscience, making her way out of the water.
And it just left her without any thoughts, Good friends? Really?
He rested his hands on his hips, watching her collect her shoes from the beach, looking back at him smiling.
"You are impossible Kria..." He sung his head in response. "But I am impossible too..." He smirked.
"You just can't name our Relationship with this tag of "Good friends" because we aren't...we are much more. And soon you will accept it too "He added with pride, little knowing about the fact that she had discovered the fact much ago...that they were much more than Good friends...
