Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Anshuman tells Armaan he has no intention of taking his place in Maira’s life

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Maira questions Abhira about whether she is upset with Armaan for taking her along to Mount Abu. She reminds Abhira that it was Armaan who eventually brought her back home and pleads with her not to go ahead with her marriage to Anshuman. Abhira, instead of answering directly, asks Maira what would happen if someone reached the railway station late and tried running after a departing train. Maira responds that it could be risky and one might get hurt. Abhira uses the metaphor to explain that, just like the train, the chance of happiness and togetherness with Armaan has already slipped away. She then asks Maira to go to sleep.

Curious, Maira asks if Abhira is crying. She then innocently says Abhira had missed her a lot earlier, but now that she is here with her, wonders who Abhira is missing so much. Abhira playfully teases her, saying it's only because Maira is asking endless questions, and guides her to bed. After Maira falls asleep, Abhira takes her phone and ends up on Armaan's contact page, leaving her restless.

Elsewhere, Anshuman meets Armaan and reassures him that he has no intention of replacing him in Maira's life. As they speak, Armaan recalls Maira's habits, choices, and the little things that make her happy. He tells Anshuman that soon he will step into the role of a father figure for her and assures him that Maira will eventually get comfortable in his company. Armaan reflects emotionally, saying that for every daughter, her father is her superhero, but every father fears the moment his daughter drifts away. With teary eyes, he asks Anshuman to take care of Maira with all his heart.

The following day, Maira surprises Abhira by showering her with flowers. Abhira initially thinks she is dreaming, but Maira clarifies she is awake and even serves her breakfast. As their conversation shifts to Armaan, Abhira asks if she will miss him. Maira admits she will, but also says she is happy being with Abhira.

Soon after, Vidya reaches out to Abhira and warmly invites her to join the Janmashtami festivities at the Poddar house. However, Abhira declines, choosing instead to send Abhir and Maira in her place. Maira then comes to know that Abhira won't be attending the celebration. Meanwhile, Armaan tells Vidya firmly that she cannot force Abhira to forgive him and asks her to stop emotionally manipulating her.

On the other hand, Maira asks Anshuman to break the handi during the festival. He inquires if she plans to visit the Poddar house. Maira shares that Armaan had told her how sad Abhira felt after losing her, and she now wants to do everything to keep Abhira cheerful. When Anshuman questions if she won't miss Armaan, Maira replies that she prefers staying with Abhira. Unknown to them, Abhira overhears their conversation.

Meanwhile, Kiara assists Abhir during his photoshoot. When Abhir notices Kiara being authoritative, he gets slightly annoyed. Kiara, however, reminds Abhir that as his manager, he needs to listen to her instructions.

At the Poddar mansion, the family gears up for the Janmashtami dahi handi celebrations. Tanya appears thrilled while Krish and Tanya get into a playful argument. Kaveri, too, looks forward to the festivities. In disguise, Abhira and Anshuman arrive at the Poddar house. Maira mischievously showers flowers on Kaveri, leaving her puzzled as she tries to find the person behind it.

In the precap, Abhira admits to Kaveri that she has forgiven Armaan. Armaan, however, reveals to Vidya that Abhira feels Maira deserves both her parents. Vidya insists that Armaan reconcile with Abhira before she goes ahead with her marriage to Anshuman. Meanwhile, Abhir questions Abhira if she truly wants to marry Anshuman.
