At times, even limited success can get into your head. And why are we saying so? Well, according to a source,Nikita Sharma, who plays the character of Antara in Life OK's popular show Do Dil Ek Jaan (Nautanki Telefilms) is starting to develop starry airs.
Last week when the engagement scene between Raghu (Ayaaz Ahmed) and Antara was being shot, apparently Nikita had a big problem with the ring creatives had given her. She kept cribbing about it much to the chagrin of the Director who gave her a piece of his mind saying she should have sorted with the creatives before coming on the floor. He even called off the shoot for a while. Later shooting resumed after Nikita apparently had a word with him and tried to explain her point of view.
Our source wondered why Nikita made such a hue and cry about the engagement ring. It was not that she was really getting engaged in real life. She should have realized that props and costume departments have to work within certain budgets. Such problems many other actors often face but rather than making a noise they try to improvise by using personal clothes and jewellery.
The source further added that Nikita has also been insecure about her costumes and often she compares it with the clothes of other co- actors. Her constant complaints had even led to one of the costume women being fired.
In the interests of fair play we spoke to Nikita who totally denied any such allegations. "I did not have any problem with my ring. The engagement shooting went off quite well."
When asked about costumes she said, "I am very happy with the clothes I get for they are designed by one of the best in the business. I got lots of kudos for my dressing style and people think I am really a Kashmiri though I actually hail from Delhi."
We tried to speak to Creative Head Kunika but she remained unavailable for comment.
