What is so disgusting about rehersing for intimate / kissing scenes?😕

When that happens in Hollywood, we call it professionalism, when it happens in bollywood, it becomes cheap and vulgar?

Be it Ranveer and Deepika rehersing their smooches or Gulshan Grover doing stuff with Katrina's mammary glands...these guys are just doing their job...nothing more and nothing less.

Agree with poppy.

I don't think he has to defend anything. He's changing his TONE of the film. But the color, big sets, melodramtic dramas, big dance numbers, an emotional journey to love, etc. All of the basic SLB stuff is still there. But there's more fun, masti and a "modern" viewpoint to it.

I think he totally screwed up on the music (barring Lal Ishq and Nagada Sang). He could have done better there. But at the end of the day, it's all about the business. And sad truth, Hum Dil and Devdas would NOT work in this day of age. I mean it might b/c of the actors in it, but I mean that TONE wouldn't connect with the masses.

and I agree with Poppy and Hetal, if he is giving any explanations does not mean he is giving lame excuses...he is merely trying to clear the misconceptions that people might have about the film..heck HDDCS was made in 90s where the girl thought she would get pregnant if she kissed 😆

and in this film the female lead is more like rebellious and todays girl, if she is in love she does not mind showing it and why the heck is kissing such a big deal still? just coz its DP 🥱

get real people, when people fall in love or are in a relationship they do such things and I am not talking about movies here, I am talking about reality no matter if its Indian culture or westernized..

@Kruti: Thanks for reminding me of that Hum Dil scene. I honestly do think if SLB could get away with in in 1999 he would have made it a real kissing scene. Remember Bahon ki Darmiyan and how Salman-Manisha consummate thier love. I mean that was pretty bold too and quite artistic.

I think everyone gets so weighed down on all the sexual stuff and the number of kisses. But from the promos I've seen of them kissing--it actually works. It looks natural and not uncomfortable or weird. It's really rude to start terming people vulgar for kissing on-screen considering art imiates life.

Either way, like I said before SLB doesn't need to defend anything. His approach is the same, but the content has a new fragance to it.
