Today's episode and Jodha's lack of empathy as just a human being caring and being concerned for another human being was disturbing. To vocalize that she only cares about her fathers reputation and her sisters marriage and Amer's reputation, rather than the life of another individual, (who is not only a GUEST of her beautiful Amer, but also her husband, and hence, the son-in-law of her loving Amer) is an insult to Rajputs and their traditions, reputation and hospitality. (If she does not care for him as her husband, she can at-least care for him as a person... "I still don't care that you're my husband, and it doesn't matter that you're the emperor, however, your life is in danger, and that is why I am worried, AS A NORMAL, DECENT, HUMAN BEING!!! ONE human being to ANOTHER! " ufff..
The more I watch this show, it goes to show that when love eventually does grow between the 2, it will never be between equal minded individuals but more along the lines of a spoiled brat who has found someone to tolerate her tantrums and petty mindedness and immaturity and calls it love!
If for comparisons sake, you compare the character of Jodha on this show vs the Jodha from the movie Jodha-Akbar, you can see how drastically polar opposites the 2 are. While Jodha in the movie was distraught about marrying a Mughal, she carried herself with grace, dignity and poise and never belittled or insulted her husband. The Jodha in this show is more of a broken record which eventually you want to toss out in the garbage.
The writers seriously have their work cut out of them if they wish to salvage her character because so far, there is nothing graceful or dignified about their princess. She is nothing but immature, annoying and extremely ignorant to anything beyond the walls of the Amer fort. THIS is NOT how a princess is to behave.. let alone the BEGUM of Hindustan!
