Main toh review deti hu, n honest deti huu.
Yaa these days m nt active bt jb time milta hai, i read n paka wala review it. .fir bi itta bada wala ilzaam mujhe jaise bhooli bhali readr pe. . .

Di, see, we all knw writter realy take a lot of effort n post their work here, n its duty of every readr to review it. .bt di,nt every1 is gud at words,n the best eg. Of dis is me. .
Di, main yeh nai bol rai ki i havnt writtn awsm, amazing etc etc ,i have writtn it,bt isme galti kya h? Agar awsm update laga toh awsm hi bolenge na??
And u cn go n check,mai yeh humesha bolti hu.
And about reservd coments. .wel i dnt knw wat 2 say,bt di sumtimes it hapns ki hum res krke chale jaate hai n then we 4get, mere sath bahut baar ho chuka h, i knw we must unres it ,bt agar writtr ko ittna hi irritating lagta hai,toh they cn remind them na jaise mere sare writtr frnds krte hai 🤣

They say-"review maanga tha raamkatha nai" duro ka nai pata,bt mere sath aisa hua h,n i realy realy realy felt hurt. .gosh. .review do hume bola jata hai,chotti kyu di? Badi review do toh they say RAMKATHA kyu di? U say,akhr kya bole hume?? mujhe kisiko hurt nai krna, bt as hum readrs jb writtrs se update maangte hai n we get a reply as "we r busy" or "y do u readrs 4get ki we do have a life IF" n blah blah. .dnt u thnk we 2 have same reasns?? We readrs cn b busy,n we 2 have a life outside the IF. .?
And then,agar we dnt give review, nxt update mein we get a note saying, "meri ittni likes n reviews ki demand hai blah blah i wil discountinue it agar demand complete nai hue etc etc " di tel me, where is the fault of a readr here?? If they r nt geting likes toh HUM KYA KARE??
We like a fool snd pms to evry1 n requst naah beg them to like n review so dat our fav work dsnt get closd. .gosh. . Is dis wat writters want?
M realy pissd off. .

Guys its going all wrong here!! I mean all POV's are taken wrong.

I hope this post of mine clears it all

1. I agree there are hell lot of stories and hell lot of work they have. But I believe TM's motto is not to direct it to them . I think many here know .. kisi tak kyun I have many of my thread spammed badly?? kuch threads mei toh I only updated a single or two updates ?? phir bhi wo khatam. Haina jab writer ko updates maangni hoti hai spam karni hoti hai. It is NOT directed to every single reader. I personally have noticed many out of those people who continuously ask for updates and spam but when finally the update is up all they do is either res or give a two word comment . And next what I see them on my next work spamming there for updates. I seriosuly think that's no excuse. That can't be really accepted right.

2. The problem is not EXACTLY one liners. Its the content the one liners contain. As I said I have seen many times people saying awesome update . update soon on a thing where in the title I clearly mention : Oneshot. and at the end I say here comes the end. and not only on mine I have observed on many threads too. Personally I am a worst reader. I too didnt have edited some reserves. But later on I stopped reviewing. I know the writer awaits for it just like I do but all I can do is a like . But seriously being a reader can you just explain what the other meant by the comment " nice update . update soon?? on a OS " I mean seriously??

NOT only the readers are at fault even the writers are but some things are really not tolerable and hurts way to more than writers do.

None said all readers are at fault but there are for sure some set of readers who really hurt but such comments. Being a writer I know many of my readers

who write only those two word nice update /os but they do make me super happy because I know they take time and comment.

There is seriously a big mis understanding going on in here !! I swear. Hope I did least to control it😳

ajkal mein ff/ss/os padhna chod diya hai but kabhi kabhi deetha ka koi OS padh leti hon n jo story AT mein likhte hain bs wohi padhti hon...
mein ye nhn kahoongi k jab mein read karti thi tab mein koi long cmnt deti thi mein bs superb,awsome,amazing bol deti thi n agar update mein kuch ziyada emotional or funny hota tha to usey leke cmnt deti thi...n yup mene jo meri close IF frnds hain unke update pe long cmnts fiye hain bcoz wo mujhe janti hai aur wo isbaat ka bura nhn manegi but doosron ko bolne jayein to unhein isbaat ka bura bhi lag sakta hai aur aisa ho bhi chuka hai...n writters kabhi tym pe update nhn.karte jiski wajhse reader story hi bhul jata hai ab wo previous update to nhn read karne baith jayega kyun k usey new update kuch smjh hi nhn aa raha n mene stories read karna band kiya bcoz kabhi kabhi writers 2-5 months laga dete hain update karne mein aur tab tak story kya thi kya hai sab bhul jate hain n i know k ismein writer ki galati nhn hai unki bhi personal life hai but ismein reader ki bhi galati nhn hai mostly log mob se ol ana pasand karte hain aur mob se long cmnt dena possible nhn mere liye to bilkul nhn hai :-P...
guys agar readers 2-3 words k cmnt dete hain to unka fault nhn.hai unhein jitana smjh ayega wo wahi likheinge na...
n deetha ki baat se mein shock hon k sach OS pe log update soon bolte hain :-P...
guys agar fault readers ka hai to writters ka bhi hai wo bhi to tym to tym update nhn dete jiski wajhse reader dhang se cmnt nhn karta...n rahe baat res ki to mene bhi kiye hain but unres kiye hain bs ek hi nhn kiya i think riya ka :-P aur ab to read nhn karti to res bhi nhn karti kyun faltu mein khud bhi tension lon aur writer ko bhi irritate karon :-P

beautiful and a needed post

i completely agree with it

sometimes i myself feel like discontinuing my

works looking at the comments.

repeated one liners are one thing that make me

go crazy

as writers we take our time to write

our stories in such a way that readers like it

and when we dont get the result

it just hurts to every possible extent.

it discourages me.

i dont think utilizing your time for 2 min

to comment would do much harm

the reason i joined IF was becoz of

my wish to write, i dont seem to

be wanting to write anymore.

Hey...i totally agree wid dis post! I'm a writer as well bt I'm new to writing...i put a lot of effort writing updates nd sending pms' to around 140 members bt I get only 20 likes or reviews 4 my update...maybe the update is short bt the writers cud atleast write wat they dint like abt the update or a particular chapter!recently I started a new ff nd already a week or more passed by nd wen I visited my ff it was like not even a single reader telling nd to update fast or he or she is waiting 4 the update! I am really very disappointed nd feel like not to continue dis work further!! Nd often ppl comment by using 1 words like awesome,amazing,etc...it really isn't a review! I find only my besties who actually read my updates nd comment saying wer i'm low nd wer i'm gud nd wat they like abt the update...nd seriously I feel like replying to only their reviews...! I just want my ff readers to read ur post nd here after start commenting sumting sensible! Nice post nd I hope many readers can change their kind of reviews! Loved the post nd U hav correctly mentioned the writers point of view...Tanx 4 dis post!!

agree with ur points shenz..

but as a reader as well as a writer i would leave it to readers on what they want to comment and what not..

yes as a writer sometimes i do feel what u have said, but not all readers do that!! i have many genuine readers who give me suggestion, "review" chapters and as well they let me know about improvisations.

so as far as i am concerned as a writer, i would say i leave it to a reader!

Bang on the post..

Firstly I will give my review as a writer.

I'm a writer, not just on IF but in my school-college community too. I have also took part in many writing contests so I know how much effort it takes you to write something actually just not readable but worth reading. If I talk about myself, YES i have faced this same situation. I don't how many times in all these months of my writing on IF, I have made decisions to just QUIT writing only because of these type of comments or less comments. I don't say that my works are excellent and I should get a heaps of comments but I can say that they are not bad. Actually writing is my passion so obviously I put my every effort into every write-up to make it interesting for the reader. I know this case is not only with me but with most of the writers and that's why we have got this much needed post. You all know that why I haven't discontinued my writings even after thinking about it a lot of times. I have continued my writings just for my dear sincere readers who always wait for my update and encourage me with there quality reviews. But here are some people who don't even bother to write a full line comment or some just hit the like button. I know that it could be someone's problem or they might be so busy. I understand all those things but at last you all know the matter and the level of my or any writer n this situation disappointment.

As a reader I would say because I m a writer and I know how it feel likes when you get short comments or simply no comments So I try my best to give long and nice comments which a writer actually deserves..Many writers can prove that for me. I m not saying that I m the PERFECT and never commit any mistake. I also make short comments or just hit the like buttons on rear moments when I m highly busy and my problem is big but with that I also try to explain my problem to the writer.

I guess I have pretty much explained my own pint of view.

Sorry if I hurt someone. I just wanted to give my opinion.

Well, to an extent I agree with you.

Before being a write I'm a reader. So, I can understand a readers situation too. At times people get stuck as to how to review or they face the shortage of words or they are not good at expressing views *Even I an't so good in expressing my views*. So they use the words awesome, amazing etc etc...There's no harm in using them. They're just trying to compliment the writers for the efforts they've put.

From writer's point of view, I agree we writers get dejected when people simply comment for the sake of increasing their post even without taking a read at the contents. I agree that the readers need to be careful with the choice of words they make and should be reviewing for an OS like an OS rather than assuming it to be an update.

Like writers get irritated with the reserved comments and how people for get to edit them, the readers too get irritated with the writers when they blackmail them indirectly saying they'll be discontinuing their works 'cause they get less comments or short comments. Both the readers and writers are at fault sometimes and none of them is wrong in the other situations.
