We have performed in our School days, College,Ganpati Mahotsav but this is the first time we are gonna take part in any official competition *Talent Parade* so little nervous. The dates for auditions were on the verge of being announced. We were in the college canteen and preparation was on for it.
"Kria! Finger chips and cold coffee for me and for diet conscious sister sugar free lemon soda" Urvi shouted from the table. I and Taani were on the counter to have something, the four of us were working on this topic since morning since and the hunger had almost killed us.
"Tambi Hurry!" I said to the person on the counter, one by one names of the items displayed behind the glass counterbegan to pop out. "Taani take Urvi and Sharon's tray, I'll get ours" I kept the order on our table. "Hm! so we have planned till now is only music there are many things pending" Sharon (look) said.
I sipped my Frappe, "We don't have much time, routines are also not completely finalized" And
We all left whatever we had in our hands, got up and moved to the rhythm of the song, I seriously don't know what was in that song but whenever this piece if music went inside our ears we could stop from dancing.
*BEEP BEEP* a message came on Taani's cell, "Guys dates are out, we have two weeks." It was like a blast almost everyone present in the canteen heard. "After having snacks I and Sharon would book rehersal hall for 2 hours and Kria and Taani will edit the music. We'll meet outside rehearsal hall at sharp 1:30, got it" Urvi said.
"Kria have a sip of my black current shake with choclate brownie. It will melt in your mouth with shake" Taani said and I followed her advice. It really melted in my mouth, experimenting with our snacks was a part of our routine.
"Guys the dates are out for Talent parade who doesn't want to get insulted in front of whole college can take their names back as whoever will take part in it has to compete me and to win over me is next to impossible" We heard a voice while we were busy with our chaos. "There she comes" Sharon said.
A girl with highlighted hair, it was a combination of red and golden over brown and a bit messy in her just-got-out-of-bed look and a doll like bimbo with her as all time puppet of her's.
*Aksi with her puppet Anara* She took herself to be the diva of the college which was true to some extent but four of us hated her to the core. It was most impossible thing to expect sweetness from Aksi and something of her own from Anara as she followed whatever Aksi said and did.
"Jesus! Who let her out of her house" Urvi said.
"May be she broke the chains in which she was tied by her family. Just give a look to her it's like a patient who have escaped from a mental asylum."
I, Urvi and Taani laughed hard at Sharon's comment, "Haha ryt"
"Aksi" the door of the canteen was opened again, My eyes went to the person who stood there "Reyaansh Singhania" GS of our college, heart hacker of millions of girls. We all were aware of the fact that he was a dancer but rarely found him dancing and last but not the least quality he was Aksi's Best friend.
He walked to Aksi and Anara with his chuddy-buddy Swayam, my eyes were on fixed on him. His eyes came to me, I immediately looked away to avoid the situation. I didn't want him to feel as if I was like every girl drooling over him. "Come-on guys let's get on work" I said before I could see him pamper his best friend.
"Kria are you done?" Taani asked. "Almost" I took the laptop, played the latest chart buster on my iPod and walked out of the locker room. I gave the laptop bag in Taani's hand, "Kria jaldi chal its almost 1:30"
"Chal to rahi hoon na, I can't fly Taani. Ok leave that listen to dis *Dance Again* by J'Lo" I was about to give one of the earphones to Taani when *THUD* I bumped into Reyaansh and both of us landed on the floor. He was on top of me, I quickly turned away trying desperately not to look at him.
Everyone in the corridor was looking at us only. I was little embarassed "Kria lagi to nahi?" Taani forwarded her hand to me. I held her hand to get up. "My iPod" I said aloud. It was hanging from his pocket. He untangled and gave it in my hand. "Sorry" he muttered. "Are u alright Reyaansh?" Taani said.
"Hmm"
She gave an ok smile, "Kria chale"
"Yup"
I checked my iPod whose condition wasn't good. "Taani, Mera iPod gaya" She looked calmly. "Kahin nahi gaya, chala ke dekh" It was like sand slipping from my hand, "Chale hi ja raha hai ruk hi nahi raha, after so much of buttering I had got this one" In rehearsal hall Sharon and Urvi had already begun the practice. I entered hitting the iPod on my hand.
"What are you trying to do with your iPod, If u'll go on hitting it in the same way den I guess its funeral is near" Sharon laughed. "Its funeral time is here" I said and sat on the bench. They all looked at Taani to know what happened.
"A Guy" Taani said, before she could speak a word more Sharon and Urvi ran me both seated themselves on my each side. "OMG" Sharon said and "A Guy and Kria" Urvi completed.
"Kria likes a Guy?"
"Or he likes you?"
"Is he hot?"
"You talked to him?"
"Baat kuch aage badi?"
"You took his phone number?"
"You gave yours?"
"First Date"
"Kria! Im your sister you have to tell me everything"
I was losing my control, "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! Bimbo queens. I think we should change our name Crazy Angles to Bimbo Angles. Let Taani complete first, she was saying that I bumped into a guy of our class *Reyaansh* and my iPod got crushed. I don't like any guy and you two uff go mad on hearing the word *Guy*. Rehearsal shuru karo abhi"
"Okay Okay sorry"
The next two hours passed in practice and we were drenched in sweat by the end of it. "Well done guys music editing and routines are over now Taani your last work to arrange costumes." Sharon said. We nodded and smiled again, "CRAZY ANGELS ROCKS"
"Whatever! Your time in this hall is over now you can get lost. It's my rehearsal time now."
It is often said speak of the devil and devil appears but she was not even the last one about whom we were thinking about that time *Aksi with Anara*
"We're leaving" I said. She gave her arrogant look, took out something from her bag. It was a room freshener. She sprayed it all over the room, but one thing she didn't know that was Taani was allergic to this fragrance. She was about to sneeze when Urvi turned her towards Aksi.
"I don't know why college authorities give hall for rehearsal to anyone even to down-market people. What are you waiting for, just get lost." And *ACHOOO* Taani sneezed on her. "Eww" She again sneezed on her. "What the hell! Anara follow me" She rushed out the hall shouting abuses.
I gave a tissue to Taani, we all were laughing hard on her even Taani was laughing between her sneezes. "Taani tum theek ho?" Sharon asked. "Hmm lekin maza aaya na, I guess im the first one jisse apni allergy se benefit hua hai."
"Haha true, now let's go home"
I walked to the park alone. My three lovely friends were still busy in the locker room. Reyaansh was busy with her so called best friend in their coochie-coo style of saying bye. My iPod was still not working. I vigorously pressed its buttons but no use.
Aksi left and his eyes came on me, "Hey" he said. "Hi"
"Isnt it working?"
"Naah I guess it got crushed badly." He took it from my hands, "I'll get it done."
"No thanks. I'll manage." but he didn't agree. "Come on Girl. It was my mistake so responsibility of its recovery is mine." Finally I agreed to give him for repair and he left with my iPod. I took out the car keys and in the mean time girls were also there. We also left for home.
So guys... this is it
This won't be a typical story of love.
It's based on friendship...
