I dont understand why people are angry at Salman for the advice he gave Asif. I actually thought that he insulted Armaan. (I dont see Salman favouring Armaan)

Because you know the saying...when an elephant walks by, the dogs bark, but the elephant doesnt bark back.

In this scenario, by telling Asif to just walk off cooly, Salman told him to let Armaan continue his barking and to not stoop low to armaan's level by arguing back. I interpreted Salman's reply as "you're better than someone who picks a fight...you have more cool and dignity, just walk away and keep that intact" I thought that was the most subtle insult for Armaan.
