Chetan Hansraj, who won a huge female fan following as the wicked Sasha in Kahaani… will now be seen in Sony's Kaajjal. Chetan is all set to literally make a splash in the serial as he will enter the show on a jet ski. And no he isn't a bad boy. Chetan has a positive role in the show. Talking about his role the actor who will play an NRI called Dhruv says, "Dhruv loves the beach and water sports. He comes to India to find a nice, beautiful girl and marry her. He and Dev (Apoorva Agnihotri) are childhood friends."

When asked whether he will fall in love with the serial's main protagonist Kaajjal, he feigns ignorance. "It all depends on the viewer's reaction. If the audience like the character and his track becomes popular then anything is possible. The viewer is the king and his likes and dislikes determine the fate of a serial, character, plot and sub-plots. He also says, "Since TRPs determine everything I get the opportunity to experiment with different roles. When Sasha was sidelined in Kahaani… I did a cameo in Prithviraj Chauhan and my track there is coming back soon." But what about Sasha? "Nothing is decided yet, but who knows he might come back," says the actor who prefers doing three serials a year.

Although Chetan has played important roles in soaps, he is never seen as the lead. The actor denies the fact that lead roles never come his way. "I have been getting offers for lead roles but nothing exciting has been offered. I haven't got anything that makes me want to commit to it on a long term basis," he says. Chetan argues though that his cameo roles are very interesting. "These days even cameos go on for three to four months which not only keeps me busy but also helps me learn and improve," he says. Apart from serials Chetan is also dabbling in movies. He will soon be seen in Braham. "It's a romantic thriller.

Dino Morea figures in the romantic part of the movie and I play a major role in the thriller aspect of the film," he reveals. He is also in discussion with directors for two more films. "In this profession you have to be very choosy and have loads of patience. You've got to keep trying new things," he says. The days of uncertainty and little work is in the past now. "I am happy. Recently I moved into a new house and life is going great guns," says the content actor.
