Miscast: Katrina. Why?! B/c Meera is suppose to age and I imagine as a woman that lost the love of her life, she be more tired from life and look more sad, simpler and older. I wish they had cast Kajol, Rani, Aish, Juhi, etc for that role. If SRK is aging then why not the heroine too?! Plus I think the senior actresses would add more depth for the post-leap Meera than Katrina did.

All in all, like someone said I don't think Yashji (RIP) wanted this to be his legacy or his last film but honestly these posts are so trite. Let's more on. Not every film is everyone's cup of tea but we don't see so many what went wrong this Akki movie his Salman movie every 2 weeks. 😆

I think the lack of romance from this film was made up in CE...his chemistry with Deepika was exquisite and Titli did for me what Saans couldn't.

Aish wasn't suited for that pathetic role Hetal. 🤗 Should have been a epic role like Devdas, Jodhaa Akbar, Taal, Guru, or even HDDCS. I wish Aish had worked with Yash Chopra in a directorial venture, but it probably wasn't the biggest deal. Veer Zaara was meant to be Preity's role. I am glad Aish didn't share the screen space with Rani. Kajol, Rani, Juhi, etc. are all beyond that role to in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Bollywood forum people have to realize that just because its a movie they didnt like doesnt mean means it was universally disliked.

Did the movie underperform? Yes
Did the movie not live up to the standards of the late Yashji (RIP)? Yes
Was the music not on par with Rahmans standards? Maybe, but he hasnt been dishing out anything legendary as of late anyways

However, was the movie still one of the better love story flicks of the year? Yes

It underperformed but did not tank. It still earned a Hit title in India, a Superhit/Blockbuster title overseas.
