Yes they are co-wives of Khandoba.
I just read it on Wikipedia.
But if they show this there would be bawaal.

i don't think there will be any bawaal. kisko time hain folk tales ko khojne ka aur justification bhe hain. well, ye jo dikhayen, i don't care anymore. deepika to waise he chale gaye, now i don't care.😭

thanks for bringing out the issue TM.
i was thinking the same.
mahalsa and banai are indeed considered co-wives of martand/khandoba.
in khandoba temples where lord khandoba(mahadev) banai and mahalsa are worshipped together.
but its also a fact that folk tales are always corrupt versions of original stories. there's n guarentee that the folk tale is correct.
so im glad that banai wil not be shown as wife of khandoba. since that would go against shiv puran which clearly states mahadev-parvati as hubby-wife and ganga is only in mahadev's jata not his wife.
the folk tale i cant be so sure but it may not be accurate.

Even my dadi told me that banai and mhalsa were wives of Khandoba/Martand...

this is no excuse, nothing can be claimed ACCURATE. They are following shiva puran right, so i hope what they are showing is acc to shiva purana otherwise i hate them for killing the role of martand. i am also not liking mohit's face as martand, too off.
