i was thinking the same.mahalsa and banai are indeed considered co-wives of martand/khandoba.in khandoba temples where lord khandoba(mahadev) banai and mahalsa are worshipped together.but its also a fact that folk tales are always corrupt versions of original stories. there's n guarentee that the folk tale is correct.so im glad that banai wil not be shown as wife of khandoba. since that would go against shiv puran which clearly states mahadev-parvati as hubby-wife and ganga is only in mahadev's jata not his wife.the folk tale i cant be so sure but it may not be accurate.
