anandi a misfit in shekhars family?

someone gave me some hint and I am taking it.

anandi has come with very heavy baggage apart from heavy ghagras.
And she stubbornly stuck to them though she sees her new sasrewales wearing sarees.
Did she really try to mingle? Why she is bringing Jaitsar to Udaipur?

Even ganga wore that lovely saree with style and flair.

Forget sartorial differences. What about the lifestyle differences? Did anandi ever try to have new circle of friends of her own apart from Chanda? As a Collector's wife, she maybe member of clubs like Lions and Rotarys where she can meet her own equals statuswise. We were never shown that side of their life.

These people dont even go for picnics, movies like normal people. Did Shiv ever take her to some theatre, movie or some such thing apart from feeding her roadside food?

Anandi have no time to get friends of her own,serving trays to sanchi is very important duty for her🤢

shiv have no time to take anandi out except once for eating pakkoda's,he didnt even have time to romance.poor guy😭good soulmates👍🏼

thats y she gets married to shiv in first place,there was a vast difference in her,when she was in jaitser she is like a leader now looks like some maid, no worst than maid even maids have self respect but for anandi...😭

Well Anandi is the naukrani that Shekhars never had. Maid, doormat, punching bag etc.

Her lifestyle is entirely different from Shekhars. Only thing in common with Shiv is interest in social work.

I dislike how she got repelled when Sanchi gave her some suits in a shop and she dismissively said she could not wear such dresses.

Wearing suits or sarees was like wearing some "hawt" costumes at honeymoon for her husband. 😆

I had some hope from her initially when she spoke in English to Sanchi's friends and tried wearing sarees instead of ghagras with loud colours.

No idea what CVs have done to her now.

At this rate she should have married some rural area zamindar instead of an IAS officer from a city.

Things like going to movies, picnics or forming circle of friends with wives of fellow officers of Shiv in civil services, or getting membership of Lions' Club are not what "ideal bahus" do in BV universe where even friends meeting for pizza is portrayed as characterlessness. 😆

I don't even know why city people were brought in this serial! It was about pendu people. Better to have kept it this way.

Women from basti are the only women Anandi seems to relate to. She stands like a waitress when social circle of Ira comes visiting.

I believe no one is ever a fit or misfit, until they actually move to a different environment, city, culture etc and feel something unusal or different. But when in Rome act as Roman is a very practical proverb, and failure to be that brings in problems.

I agree Anandi has not grown in any way post marriage. She has never tried to understand Shekhars, their life style, their culture, their ways of looking at life or adopting some of those ways.

She had once declared that she will never change. Probably because she thinks, if she changes it would be derogatory to her upbringing, but she does not know that only change is constant.

I remember how Ira, sanchi brought her sarees, punjabi suits , nighties etc. when she went to that honeymoon with shiv. What happened to them? They have not forced her but they expect her to wear those things. Atleast they succeeding in taking that pallu off her head.

it is not only these superficial things, but trying to understand sanchi's outings than looking at them critically.

And sanchi tried fakely to dress like Jaitsar people and behave like them.

Neither stubbornness not fakeness is welcome.

After watching shekhars behaviour I must say that family doesn't deserve a bahu like anandi...an exact replica of sanchi would have been perfect for this family...in singhs family gehna sumi bhairon all were there to support anandi when ds used to torture her or jagya ditched her...but in this family she is standing alone and that family is supporting a total brat and torturing anandi...Its not a huge matter for which anandi will leave shiv but its disgusting to watch ira's behaviour ...

I don't know! I'm confused😆. I think Anandi thinks changing her dressing will be like giving up her own identity and becoming like others😕. I personally don't want her to change her dressing. I would like her to do her work, be modern in her thinking, not dressing. Also Lifestyle related problem didn't affect Anandi in any way nor the shekhars uncomfortable about it. So i think its not important.

Shekhars told her she need not wear pallu on her head, but she is not given any freedom to even open her mouth and do things acc to her conscience. Ladkewale raub jadoing as well! What sort of modern family is this!

I don't think it is necessary for a woman to change.

But I think Anandi has inferiority complex about her past also which is why she avoids talking to people.
When people learn she is from a village or was a child bride once and is a divorcee, their expressions and talks are unsavoury. Anandi probably wants to avoid that.

It's good that Jagya-Sanchi marriage did not happen. Or else embarassment would be forever. Like that day they were having lunch and some guest was asking Anandi to serve Jagya more rotis as he was damaad ji of the house. Anandi flushed big time then.
